SEVEN games is NOT a small sample size. We determine the champion with a 7 game sample every June. Warriors were 21-4 last year. 3-4 this year. Last year, champs. This year, trash. Crazy enough, though, Curry is having the best season of his career. Weird season.

He will have some good games there, just as Nance will tease everyone with some good games for the Pelicans. Neither one is dependable enough to consider a building block.

Can't be sure if you're trolling or just sharing a terrible take. 7 games is a small sample size especially the first seven of the season, if you don't understand that and aren't trolling then you've learned nothing from all of the seasons of NBA ball that I know you've watched.

These next 3 will be a real test for sure. If we had Dame for all 3, I'd say we could honestly get at least 2, maybe 3. Without Dame, I'm hoping for 2.

The beauty of this team is their potential. The Blazers have so many budding stars. Even if we go 1-2 over the next 3 games, I think we can develop into a contender by the end of the year. Yes, I'm optimistic. But that's what being a fan is all about!

Winners never fear the other team - but they always respect them.

It's a small sample size. But, that small sample size does point to them being in trouble if it continues.

The Warriors lost a lot of depth this summer. They aren't the same team they were. Can't really ever count Curry out though.

I do think the Draymond/Poole fight seems to have a bigger effect than has been let on yes.

Wow, the bottom six currently are CA and TX, typically the two powerhouse states.

Sure, championship is seven games. After 82 games decide seeding and three previous playoff rounds get the field down to two teams. Even then, a hot streak or just plain luck can propel a team over an opponent who is technically the better team.

But delicious to see Lakers record.

I want to see all the other Western Conference playoff teams lose.
Denver losing to the Lakers is a good thing. The Lakers are probably not a playoff team.

Just saw a stat on schedules this year. Only three teams have more then 1 six game road trip and only 1 team has more then 2 six game road trips. So my question is why do the Blazers have the most extended road trips? Does the longer trips help build a strong bond within the team? Or does it hurt being away from the home arena for long stretches over and over? Just curious what others think?

If he's not on fire (which is admittedly pretty rare) he's a liability, because he's pudgy and slow.

The Mavs' record without him hasn't been that different from their record with him over the past few seasons, at least, that's how it's appeared to me. I don't think it's good for ANY player's usage rate to be as high as his. Certainly this year, when TEAM Teams seem to be overperforming and STAR teams seem to be underperforming.
