Never met him, but rest in peace to a true Blazer fan and pillar of the community. Best to his family and loved ones. Hopefully Blazers win it for you Lanny.
He was a good man! Glad I got to meet him and his wife but that was back in 2013...missed the last invitation to see him. I regret that now.
Wow, most unfortunate. I saw him posting just late last week or over the weekend, knew he was in bad shape, but didn't expect it to be so soon. Best wishes to his widow, it's never easy losing someone you love, I lost my dad back in 2010 and I still think of him and have very fond memories of him to this day. Rest in peace OG, the forum won't be the same without you old man!
Another thing I loved about Lanny was that he had the propensity to one-up me (and others) on food selections and prep techniques. He was an "old school" foodie, though. He didn't mess with all those complicated and/or high falutin' concoctions. He kept things simple. I've actually tried more than a few of his ideas. He never disappointed in that regard.
Do you all think we can make this the longest thread in the forum in his memory? Might be a challenge with the Melo thread, but I think it's doable.
Having not had children as far as I know Lanny was Uncle Lanny to the world around him! Dviss loved Lanny..
