If I were to ship some fudge how could I keep it cold for the 600 mile trip?

You'd have to pack it really well.

I eat a lot of beans. My system is used to them so they don't bother me.

I am tempted to send @Lanny a pound cake just so he can see it doesn't have to dry and heavy.

Didn't get a pic because it was too good but did up a reverse sear ribeye, lobster tails, onion potatoes and a lime/cilantro salad for the birthday this weekend. Wife wanted to go out, but I've found unless I'm going to a high end steak house, I can make one much better than the chains like Logans/Roadhouse/Longhorn and at a fraction of the price.

No, that stopped ages ago. After 9/11 arenas would not let me carry in packages. I was apparently a terrorist threat. Sacramento still allowed if I dropped them off at Security but after a while not any more.

    Decided on Thanksgiving desserts.

Classic apple pie with ice cream and warm caramel sauce

Turtle pie, pecan pie covered with chocolate ganache

    Pumpkin cheesecake

Well I know who I’m inviting to my Thanksgiving. Lucia can even sit at the head of the table if she so desires.

I think I’m going to smoke a turkey on the Traeger for the first time this year.

I do that most years, mostly because it frees up the oven. Comes out great. Last year I did the turkey in the oven and everyone hated it. It won't be as smokey as you probably think it might, but it comes out juicy and delicious with a nice hint of smoke in the outer layers and skin.

Just realized both the pumpkin and the chocolate contain pecans. Is it a problem to have two desserts with pecans? They aren't a major component of cheesecake, but crust is gingersnaps and pecans.
