We joke and poke fun, but what an amazing accomplishment for little HCP. Congrats to her and your family
Thanks for the kind words brother. She has worked so hard to get where she is. -2.1% of all HS age girls playing soccer move on to play D1. -1.8% get a scholarship. Thanks for letting me share her journey over on the OT side!
Congrats, love seeing the youngins succeed. My oldest is a sophomore playing soccer at the Barca Residency Academy down in BFE Casa Grande, Az. Recruiters can start talking to him June 10, 2023, but I am sure it will start informally in two weeks at the MLS Next Flex Festival. Full week of youth soccer in Palm Springs, the geriatric capitol of the US. Not sure it was a good idea scheduling this in that community. It will be interesting what the pitches are. But as an addition to Miss Olivia's accomplishment, college soccer teams carry 25+ players on their roster when only 11 are on the pitch at a time. Mens D1 schools are only allowed 10 scholarships a season. Those 10 are split amongst the roster so grades and grants are extremely important. I'm sure the ladies teams are very similar. Very, very impressive.
