appears that Beaver coaches saw something in Duck punter protection and it was the difference in the game. Not only did they block that one but I think the punter was so afraid of being blocked later that he dropped that snap.

The kicking game mistakes completely swung momentum.

The Beavs goal should be the Rose Bowl next year. It will be our best chance in a long time.

Oh okay Ron Artest, tough guy. Let me know how that emotionally stunted philosophy works out for you "in the real world". Typical schmucks fan.

DJ Johnson is a 5th year Senior and likely has graduated, but I think yanking a scholarship or being expelled are unlikely. There is no way he'll be playing in whatever bowl game the Ducks go to though. Prosecuted for assault is possible but even that is dicey as fans are not allowed on the field before during or after a game. Athletes who violently take out fans who come onto the field are often celebrated. I'm remembering earlier this year when a Rams players leveled a protester... that fan filed an assault charge the next day. Not sure whats become of it though I'm sure the Rams didn't kick Wagner off the team.

You haven't seen fans who go on the field of play get violently smacked down by athletes before? Thats happened many times. Going onto the field and talking shit to some pissed off giant? Darwin award to that genius. This has nothing to do with your hatred for Duck fans.

Ron Artest went into the crowd. This fans drunk ass came onto the field and was talking shit after a huge loss where lots of emotions were boiling over.

It’s a perfect example of fuck around and find out.

PS, I’m as tough as they come, sweetheart. ;)

If you want to slowly meander through the center of the field as fans storm the field, that's fine, but if you can't handle a fan saying something as he walks by without hitting him from behind then perhaps NCAA football just isn't your thing. And for you to defend that is a fucking joke. That's not tough. Part of being an adult man is being able to handle a few words from a stranger without resorting to violence.

I love how you just state that's he drunk without any evidence, like that would make it justifiable anyways.

    Darwin Award? ffs

what justification does he have for being on the field where no fans are allowed? Lacking any, it's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he's loaded and not just stupid all the time.

yeah, really dumb behavior. Breaking the rules and risking his well being for no good reason other then to be an ass. Why are you defending this moron?

I agree that rushing the field has kinda been over-done (let's not act like Duck fans don't do it too ), but I think it's fair to say the Duck player is a moron, and the until we find out what provoked it, the same is true of the Beaver fan. The fan could end up looking significantly worse in this (if he said the wrong thing, was a complete fucking idiot or whatever), but so could the Duck player.

It's not a good look for all around.

But pinning the blame on him BECAUSE he stormed the field (which would make sense if he was the only one doing it), or implying that he must've been drunk and that's why he rushed the field, is a first class case of sour grapes.

So we’re acting like students and alumni who attend these games aren’t usually loaded. I have a hard time believing that he just swung on him because he happened to be on the field.

I’m not condoning Johnson for doing it. I think it was a dumb move. But the likely drunk fan probably thought he could say whatever the fuck he wanted and there would be no repercussion.

I’ve dealt with this before, people saying stuff to me that they wouldn’t if I wasn’t in uniform.

    Blame Trump?

GO BEAVS! What an incredible comeback. One of the greatest Civil War's of all time. GO BEAVS!

Fans should not be allowed on the field after games. It creates an atmosphere for trouble. I've seen several videos of OSU students being disrespectful assholes to Duck players after the game. Several of them deserved to get their ass kicked. They know the players cant react. Not a chance they'd act so tough if they were face to face outside of the game.

That's the #1 thing that is annoying about going to sporting events. Guys (and it's 99% guys) say shit about the players that they never would've said to their faces.

It's ruined going to sporting events for me (that and the discomfort of the seats).

While Duck fans are always very civilized and respectful, despite their long-standing league-wide reputation. And I'm sure all the players are very respectful during the game and after as well, especially when they were up big. Yes lets talk only about horrible Beaver fans who talk shit like the rest of the world. As soon as the ducks lose, "fans shouldn't be allowed on the field!"

This is hilarious. I'm a BEAVER fan!
So you are a tit for tat type of guy? If someone else is an asshole its OK for you to be?
I wish all fans would be respectful to players. Win with class, lose with class. But I know in today's society that's very rare.

I didn't even insinuate you were a duck fan. Your post started "GO BEAVS!" so I thought that made it pretty clear... I can still point out one-sided bullshit. A duck sucker-punches a fan and the issue is suddenly fans being on the field after a game and apparently you think other fans deserve to be assaulted as well.

Don't one minute be condoning violence for talking shit and then give me this self-righteous act the next. Talk about tit for tat... you mean like hitting someone for talking? If people want to talk shit all the time then don't cry when people talk back.
