I mean it is easy. There are superchargers everywhere. The driving is stress free. I watch Netflix while it supercharges on a long trip or I use the restroom while I wait, a stop o would take any way. Also I can make the car fart so there is that. I charge my car at home for daily use and it saves so much money
I was hoping I could wait a bit longer but I'm back in the market. Going to garage my e36 and upgrade. Baby coming in August so I will need something a bit more reliable with a little more size. Thinking about a newer 525 or an X1 xDrive35i. Prices need to keep coming down!
Although my wife is a twin and it runs in the family, we're only having the one this time. Not in the market for a minivan YET.
Used car salesman are such scum. Was heading to a dealership for a test drive and they sold the vehicle earlier in the day without telling us. Bastards.
This only matters on long drives, most EVs these days get about 250 miles per charge. You can also charge at home, so it gives you a lot of flexibility. There are use cases in which an EV doesn't make sense, but for most of us, myself included, it makes a lot of sense actually. I don't have an EV yet, but we're looking into buying a Bolt this year now that they are eligible for the full federal rebate again.

I drove a Tesla from Palm Springs to Austin with two kids under 2 nonstop in 20 hours. Charged a ton. Was shockingly enjoyable. After that I have no concerns about ever having to charge a Tesla on road trips. However I wouldnt buy a non Tesla right now, the CCS charging network is a joke and very unreliable. Maybe in a few years it gets better and I'd consider it, but not now. I stopped at electrify america while picking up items at Walmart on that long road trip. But charger had two of four chargers broken and 4 cars waiting for the other 2. Would have been stranded hours with any other brand. Instead I drove down the street to Tesla supercharger.
2007 325xi. Buying it today. Low miles and all the service records. Finally found something I want at a reasonable price.
Yup, had to get the 3rd and 4th door with a little one on the way. Don't think I'll do a swap, will probably only upgrade the suspension and maybe some new tires.
Tires are the most important safety feature. Michelin AS3/4 were made for Oregon. Also sure you're aware but that (great) engine needs ton maintenance.
