I didn’t realize this was so sudden. Or maybe I misunderstood. It’s just awful and overwhelming. Like crandc said, there’s no “way” to go through any of this. Do what you need to do. Lean on people. Break down. Go for walks. Whatever you need to do. Know that time is really the only thing that will make the memories of her be good ones, not sad ones. You will think of her and what she meant to you and be happy again, not overwhelmed with sadness.
Had my Mother's memorial service today. It went really well. @SlyPokerDog and @HomerLovesKoolAid were there for support. I appreciate it. Some songs that were on the playlist for the service.
Lotta great music picks. Music can be so great and so hard at the same time. Those songs will forever remind you of her - and that’s good! But it’ll be hard sometimes which is also perfectly fine as well. I hope you had a day to think of the many wonderful memories of her that will be with you for the rest of your life.
Hang in there buddy! Those were some super tunes and music is comforting. I remember losing my mother when she was 65 and music was such comfort. Try and stay busy and gets some exercise when you can, that helps as well.
Hearing everyone sharing their favorite memories of your mom, she was a very caring and special person. And it was great meeting your wife.
Sorry to hear about your Mom, Chris........... FWIW, from what little I know, her Son seems like a good egg.
