I feel like he has effectively sabotaged his trade value. I don't see anyone taking him off our hands.
Maybe, I mean calf strain may not be a deal breaker assuming complete physical etc. Slight decrease in value I guess.
The teams that I've heard connected to Nurk: Dallas Charlotte Toronto We aren't getting anything good from those teams though. Dallas has a bunch of salaries but they're all mediocre players. Charlotte could maybe trade Oubre + Kai Jones + some other small salary, or Oubre + Plumlee. Pretty meh but kind of interesting. Toronto needs a center, but they aren't trading any of their good wings for Nurk. It'll be like Boucher + Otto Porter or Boucher + Thad Young.
I doubt that a calf strain is not going to sabotage his trade value any more than OG being injured....again. Nurk is expected back in another 7 games after a nice rest.
I'm not sure they'll sell low on Nurk...I'd guess off season if they move him but they pretty much will need a better center back in return and that's not easy to find Ant might bring you a center but they seem attached to the kid.
I only voted yes because I'm hoping but I actually don't believe my own bullshit. Hahahaha! What does that remind you of?
If I'm Chauncey I'd give Nurk the Roco treatment and bring him off the bench....start Drew and see if he accepts the bench role or whines his way out of Portland until he proves he's willing to run with the pack and stay engaged....in the words of Chauncey....put an address on it
PORTLAND, Ore. (February 3, 2023) – Jusuf Nurkic left Wednesday night’s game at Memphis in the first quarter with a left calf injury and did not return. An MRI conducted on Thursday revealed a left calf strain. Nurkic is expected to return after the All-Star break.
