    * Dame has missed 12 games
    * Nurkic has missed 7 and is likely to miss twice that, at minimum
    * Winslow has missed 23
    * Little has missed 21
    * Payton has missed 40
    * Ant-Grant-Hart-Eubanks have missed 9 combined

    26 games missed by starters and 112 missed by rotation players are kind of significant numbers. It's not like the Blazers have been injury free. Yes. other teams have been hit harder, but the Blazers have definitely been hit

    This Winslow ankle injury is just crazy? Been 6 weeks at this point.
    Have to admit he is dressing well though.

    difference is, fully healthy new orleans pelicans & phoenix suns are undoubtedly better teams than fully healthy portland trail blazers

    our 10-4 start was great, but after that they showed thats not who they really are, but on the other hand, both new orleans pelicans & phoenix suns showed theyre top 4 teams in the western conference

    lets just not compare our injuries to new orleans pelicans or phoenix suns injuries, zion missed 24 and ingram missed 34 games, thats their two best players who are also best scorers on the team... booker missed 25 games, cp3 missed 21 games, cam johnson missed 39 games, thats their best player who is also their best scorer, their best playmaker and one of their key pieces, all of whom are starters

    imagine our record if dame & ant/grant missed that many games

    high ankle sprains can take a while, but it is getting ridiculous

    of course, if it's true there's a Winslow for Vanderbilt trade on the horizon. maybe the Blazers aren't wanting to risk a recurred ankle sprain

    I'm not disputing that those teams are better, or at least have more & better balanced talent; better length as well. I will say that it looks like a "fully healthy Pelicans team" is purely fictional. Or, at best, maybe like a snow leopard: you rarely see it and if you do it vanishes for years

    This is kind of a cool stat.

    Simons could very likely surpass Dame before his career is over.

    our defense has also cratered the last two weeks, but sure.

    "chauncey ball" also looks awfully similar to "terry ball."

    its funny, cause chauncey ball was at its best last season without dame, cj mccollum & powell

    you know, when we started ant, hart, little, winslow & nurk, do you remember how that team played on both ends of the floor

    do you remember games in milwaukee & memphis perhaps

    4 game sample sizes don't prove anything

    team without dame, cj mccollum & powell played how chauncey billups wanted them to play from the beginning of the season and we remember that even pre-season was terrible, they just didnt buy in

    how do you explain that team that had starting line-up: ant, hart, little, winslow & nurk played much better than starting line-up: dame, cj mccollum, powell, covington & nurk or now: dame, ant, hart, grant & nurk

    obviously, starting line-up: ant, hart, little, winslow & nurk had no enough talent, but they competed hard on both ends of the floor, they shared the ball & moved off the ball, that was chauncey ball in full effect

    for all the talk that ant cant run the offense, he looked really good running our offense with nurk being our secondary playmaker and to me at least, ant feels more comfortable playing without dame than with dame

    his play with and w/o dame cleary shows it, its not something i made up

    as I said....it was way too small a sample size to gauge anything except personal bias

    im not talking about 4 game winning streak before all-star break

    im taling about all games played without dame, cj mccollum & powell, its not about winning and losing, its about playing style on both ends of the floor, about effort

    this team was top 1o on offense two times, but at the same time, they were bottom 10 on defense and while they were top 10 on defense two times, at the same time they were bottom 10 on offense

    they are obviously capable of being a top 10 offensive and defensive team, but not at the same time it appears

    If you could show all games that we played with Anf and without Lillard, CJ and Powell, that might show something if there was at least 20 games. But I wouldn't know how to find those games.....

    I don't think there's much at all about last season that will tell you anything about Chauncey-ball. Dame was injured and trying to play thru it, while Powell was playing at SF. And half of the season was a tank job. It was a throw-away season when the opposing teams didn't have to work at defensive resistance.
