What about the 41 games he doesn't play because he's got a sore back or a sore ego?

No clue who this guy is and I'm just fine with that.

If we traded for all the bench players who hit a heartbreaking shot against us, we'd have 30 guys on the roster.

I was the one saying that but the amount has blown up since then. I wouldn't give a fuck if all of the trade deadline/idea threads were merged into this one.

Great in theory, except the same couple people make every such thread an endless back and forth over trade ideas.

Hence, better just to have 1 thread.

Would Jarred Vanderbilt move the needle?

No, he's not a needle mover in the sense that we will be a 6-10th place team in the west with or without Vanderbilt and we're likely going to be a first round and out team if that's the only thing we do or if we end up doing anything. I honestly believe that Joe will get more done than that. I'm ready to be disappointed but I do think that it's obvious that this roster needs more than an upgrade to a bench player even though our bench does need to be upgraded and to have more size.

So it would address a need but it wouldn't move the needle as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think so....defenses would dare him to shoot, like 5 on 4. I don't want a non-shooter stopping the ball swinging (kinda like Hart lately) plus Simmons seems like a nut. He is a good defender/distributor but not worth the contract imo.

because JV is being held out 'with an injury'. Sure suggests there is a trade lined up and the rumor is Portland. There have been rumors Hart would be involved in the trade, but if the Jazz are holding JV out and he's going to Portland, the Blazers would be holding out who was being traded for JV. Winslow is already conveniently out. Maybe Little will develop and injury in the next 2 hours

might mean something if Hart plays tonight....like that there is no trade near involving him
