It's lame that he dropped out. Hopefully it's not because he's being traded, but if it's not that, he should have stayed committed.

He has an image problem with being a quitter already... he shouldn't reinforce that by, like, quitting on something else he committed to.

Billups and Cronin should have put him in a position where he's playing more in real life so he could be playing in the all-rookie game, too, but... we know that is not how those guys roll.

I'm glad Shaedon is going to take a vacation. It's gotta be unnerving for a young guard to be thrust into a SF position. The grueling NBA schedules can mess with your head. The rookie needs some R&R, hang out with the fam, work on his handles.

Billups has him standing in the corner doing nothing on offense. He's getting burned by trying to play weakside D, because Anfernee is a walking traffic cone on defense. Give the rookie time to refocus, relax, find his game. I applaud his decision to skip All-Star weekend.

my only concern with this kid is does he have that fire… I hope because he’s got the talent to be a star (still undecided whether that’s an all star or super star)

Crazy, if true. He’s too young, too raw and too inexperienced to have his feelings hurt. He should be glad he’s making great money, appearing on national TV, and living the dream as an NBA player. If he’s already sulking halfway through his rookie year, ship his ass out of here.

Dropping out of the dunk contest as a rookie to work on his game sounds like something Kobe/Brandon Roy would do.

Sharpe's production has not warranted the minutes he already gets.

Not sure why there is any backlash over him pulling out of a dunk contest. The stars game would have helped his game. He is not playing. He decided to do something that would help his game.

The kid is going to be fine.

I mean, what's he really going to do to "work on his game" for 2 days over all star break?

But that's not working on his game. That's resting.

As much as we talk about teams/players being trash........all-star weekend is much more deserving. Who cares if he partakes in the dunk contest? The whole weekend is unwatchable.

Then he shouldn't have committed in the first place. I don't like him dropping out "last minute" but at least now I don't have to watch it at all. Watching grown men cosplay in superhero outfits and then miss the same dunk ten times in a row just isn't very fun.

It was fun reading really bad takes for a page lmao.

My take is: he's his own person who makes his own decision. Deal with it.

Didn't Dame drop out of the 3 point contest when he was snubbed as an all star game participant?

I do wonder if let's take out the jaded reason I mentioned in a earlier post about not being named to the Rook / Soph game but maybe there is a reason maybe someone else has brought up and did not see but maybe the reason is this.

Maybe Billups is going to start giving Sharpe more minutes 25 to 30 since good chance Hart might be traded so maybe he knows this and is focusing on being ready for the opportunity.

What is he going to do in 2 days to get himself ready for more minutes exactly?

BbIQ is part of the game. A rested alert mind can improve the BBIQ.
Relaxing and watching tape can improve his BBIQ.
