I’m working on a unified theory that explains the Blazers fanbase and how it’s changed in the last few years. Something like this (still tweaking):

    “It’s Dame.

People are protective and precious about Dame. A Blazers loss isn’t a loss, it’s an existential question about the limitations of the career of a ‘top 75 player’. That a ‘for profit franchise’ is taking away valuable, disappearing career moments of a player by actively trying to be mediocre. (He’s going to make a Bill in his lifetime).

There’s no such thing as a low stakes loss with this fan base. OKC/Magic fans get to giggle their way through blowout losses and bonkers, unexpected wins. With every dribble Dame makes, meanwhile, the clock is ticking on a championship that most assuredly will never come on his watch.

To be clear, the only path to a championship for the Blazers is if the team is allowed to be patient and construct deals and draft on its own timeline. Urgency is leverage in a trade for the other GM.

Death to the ‘Dame contention window’, I say. This school of thought is sure to destroy your enjoyment of the Blazers.”

I was at OLive for a while under this moniker and RiggoDrill. I then moved to BBB.net before I got booted by some L*kers fan who moderated the Blazer forum for making too many K0be rape jokes. I then came here. It says I started posting here in 2008, so almost 15 years on this site.

    WOW!!

I thought mpls2000 was dead. That's what happens when you don't post. I heard that lately.

In one of several dead computers on my table in the other room, you reside in a file. Fix the computer for me, and you can live your former life. Bring your own 32-bit drive.

Here since 2008, before that BBB/BBF, before that fanhome.

    I remembers you, L4L.

If you do that the dog chews your nuts off and leaves you to bleed out.

Really best to not even bring up the idea, for fear he gets the idea you are disloyal.

I always say, it's not the years, it's the miles! I went from Iamablazerfan.com...the teams original site moderated by Casey and Sarah Hecht to this place on the recommendation of HCP...Before all that my Blazer interactions would be in some sports bar in Eugene. Pappa G was banned shortly after I joined this site.....back when we still had the Idaho Stampede and those epic jlprk G league threads! Good times.

Somewhere I have the link of my defending you in your first month against Papa G, who didn't like you. Here's an unrelated link.
