I know Igor's penalty was obvious but isn't it amazing how the refs are trying to get the pens back into the game. lol

Only negative so far is the lousy play of fox in the defensive end becoming a human turnover. Igor is vezina igor tonight

The prediction of the Pens finishing ahead of the Rangers, the Rangers missing the playoffs, and the Rangers being the Titanic look really good now...LOL.

Team is coming together. A lot of talent. If we play with an edge, and Igor in net is on his game, we can play with any team. Can lose as well of course, the margin for error in the NHL is razor thin, but we have as good a shot as any team IMO, and that's all you can ask for.

Fox is never great defensively without Lindgren.

Lindgren being out for 3 or 4 weeks will be a plus in the playoffs. He gets to rest his body, which he puts through a lot of punishment, and it gave Mikkola a chance to get used to his new team, and play bigger minutes against better players, which could be useful if needed in the playoffs.

how stupid Gallant is putting Goodrow on the pp. Now Zibs and Kreider have to kill penalties in 6:0 game.

Not as stupid as Goodrow taking two stupid penalties while on the PP.

The team dominates and there's still complaining. Gallant has had a great two seasons. Get over it.

That was a beautiful way to finish the season series against the Pens. A nice playoff reminder from ABC about who scored the game winning goals last year in games 6 & 7 but the Breadman better pick it up! Igor was on a mission tonight. Malkin knows what some of the fans on this board are still slow to realize.

lol, thats the point. You're risking two of your best players blocking a shot on the penalty kill when the game is out of reach. There was a lot of time left when idiot Goodrow took two stupid penalties on the pp so he is not available to kill those penalties in a blowout game. Not a smart thing to do. Gallant got away with it.

Some of you gotta stop with the drama queen stuff about hearing some negative criticism about the team. No team is perfect. This team has had plenty of defensive issues all season. Having this everything is great all the time attitude is not realistic and is basically just watching games with your eyes closed. Gallant has not had a great two seasons. He's done an abysmal job of developing Kakko and Lafreniere. I said for over a year that Gallant should put Lafreniere and Kakko on the pp and break up the pp units. It took him over a year and half to figure out breaking up the units. He's an NHL coach. He should have known to do that from day one on the job. Gallant has done a lot of good things. However, the fact remains that this team would have been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round last year if Sid didn't get hurt. He needed his goalie to stand on his head all season. They are in third place this year. Those are not great coaching years. He's done OK with a roster that is loaded. That's it.

The Penguins series is a dumb narrative. They went on and beat Carolina and probably should've beaten Tampa. As for the goalie the 1994 Rangers don't beat New Jersey if Richter doesn't stand on his head in games six and seven.

Here is why this post is a joke. Of course every team has ups and downs. Of course no team is perfect (although the way some talk about the Bruins this year you wouldn't know that - cannot wait for them to lose in the playoffs). Every team has good and bad. All win games and lose games. The question is do you and the rest of your whiny crying bunch know that? All you guys do is whine and cry about everything non-stop. You would think the Rangers are the worst team in the NHL, and Gallant the worst coach based on the consistent nonsense posts in here. So maybe you should live up to your own post guy, and understand we'll lose games and play poorly sometimes. And no you do not know better than the coach.

As for last year, give me a break. Have you watched the NHL playoffs, or do you as usual just want to whine and make excuses about why the Rangers win? We all know you are not really a Rangers fan, but it is incessant. We had a tough series and had to come back from almost the dead against the Pens, that is the NHL playoffs. Just about every game is close. Most series are real close. The margin for error in the NHL playoffs is tiny, this is not the NBA.

On top of that, your whiny nonsense about one cup since 1940 is also a joke, and straight from the Devs or Isles playbook fake fan. One team wins a cup each year, the most difficult trophy to win in sports. To dismiss all the great runs this team has had in the past 11 years shows again you are a joke. 4 ECF's, 1 SCF, a lot of good fun regular seasons, and great playoff wins. A lot of fun watching great players do their thing. This is not the period before 2012 where we did nothing for years and years. At days end it is not the end all be all period of time without winning a cup, that is the goal in a results business, but to act as if we have been some joke organization, or real fans haven't had a ton of great games and thrilling moments to watch the past 11 years is a joke.

So stop with your fire Gallant one month into the job, the Pens will pass the Rangers, the Rangers will miss the playoffs, and the Rangers are the Titanic BS and try to enjoy it without ruining it for everyone else on this board. Just because you aren't a real fan and actually root for the Devs or Isles, others are actually Rangers fans in here.

Enough of the whoa is the kids not getting pp time. Last year the two reasons why they even made the playoffs is Igor and the PP unit. When you have a chance to make the playoffs and possible contend for a cup you dont worry about baby feeding. Facts are facts last years pp unit was one of the best in the league. period. and to say that Gallant should be fired when he was two games away from the finals is just fucking stupid. period.

Its ok to have negative thoughts...its ok to bash the coach for some of his decisions. Its not always rainbows and unicorns...however...jesus christ its not brimstone and fire either....seems that more than half the time its bitching and moaning about this and that...hell we were blaming the birth of a child as a reason for Igor to play like a normal human instead of playing as an all world goalie.... we blame two players for being selfish who lead the team in assists...makes lots of sense to me.

yeah I know i have ranger blue glasses on and look at this team with the glass 3/4 full... some here look at it as 3/4 empty

eh...and we would have won the cup if Leetch didnt break his leg...or if Ulf Nilsson didnt break his ankle..or Zucc didnt take one to the head....who knows how many cups the rangers could have won if only their wasnt some kind of injury..but thats life and thats sports... the Pens had plenty of opportunities to still win the series..they didn't.
