Who do you think is fair value for #2?

What pick order do you think is fair value for Siakam?

What win-now player is fair value for Shaedon?

For me, if we can turn #2 into Siakam, that's a win.

I wouldn't trade Sharpe because I set his floor to Devin Booker.

#2, #23, Ant and Nurk for Siakam and #13. In an ideal situation you could make the deal a three way trade that sends #13 and future draft picks to the Nets for Nic Claxton. Obviously the Nets wouldn't be looking to trade Claxton so it would have to be an overpay.

I disagree. Siakam is a fantastic proven player. The #2 pick ain't done squat yet. And Scoot looks like a Donovan Mitchell type player. I like Mitchell, but i like Siakam's defense and size more.

So do you just not want to trade #2 or are there others you would rather use it on? Who are they? (within reason)

Let's say we get Siakam for #2, what's our next move?

Depends on who you traded with the #2 pick to satisfy the cap move. If you trade the # 2 pick, Ant & Nas to make the deal work, then you look to add quality depth to the bench. But if you do trade for Siakam, it has to be in a sign & trade, since his contract is expiring. Most of the Blazers roster is with players who have 2 years or less on their contracts left.

It is expiring? I thought it expired next year?

Sign Grant and keep #23. If Badji is just as good as any center at 23 then draft a PG. (If not draft a center)
Then sign a solid scoring wing with the MLE. If we lose Ant we will need scoring off the bench.

Expiring after next year. The Blazers would want assurances they have him for multiple years going forward.

We could likely get some good backups to play off the bench like Thaddeus Young from Toronto in any deal. They'll be looking to rebuild and shed salary.

Thad looked done last year. Very long in the tooth.

I need to start doing some draft research. But to me top 3 players have the potential or should have the potential to be superstars.

Siakam is not a superstar. He’s basically a top 20 guy. Which is fine but he’s not young anymore. He’s 29 so why would we trade the chance at a superstar for a fringe star who will only get worse?

At least Brown is only 26.

    He's 29 not 35.

He’s a big. They age differently than guards.

They do. They usually last a little longer.

    Disagree.

LMA was 29 when he signed with the Spurs. They got three good years out of him before he fell off a cliff. I don’t want to trade a top 2 pick for three years.

I think he along with the rest of the roster would look better if they were more competitive.

LaMarcus also had some health issues, with the heart condition. That might have sped up the decline.
