Technically I don't believe he can extend if traded to Portland, right?

Perhaps you just mean a Jermai Grant situation, where he will hit free agency but we're extremely confident he will resign.

Bobby Marks said Brown could get 5 year $295 million from Boston but only 5 year $250 million if he signs or is traded to another team.

Scoot Henderson is fools gold imo.
The man spent 2 years with ignite and average 17ppg, 43%fg & 27% three's. In today's NBA especially for a small guard you better have better shooting percentages than that, and if he's that talented and NBA ready why hasn't he developed a better shot when given the opportunity?
Young players play to their strengths and shooting isn't one of his.

No, he can only get the $295 million from Boston. He can get "just" $250 million from another team either via trade or leaving in free agency.

Some rumors that Boston won't offer him the entire $295 or will try to get him at a discount which could offend him. Also there is bad blood from them offering him in trade for Durant last summer.

    Ant + 23 + 3 seconds for OG.

Then after July 1 and waiting the required time to count the pick's salary:

Nurk + Nas + #3 (Scoot) for KAT.

    Dame
    Sharpe
    OG
    Grant
    KAT

Yeah that actually could make sense. Might have to be a future first instead of the seconds for OG, might need another future first for KAT.

Ant contract instead of OG makes sense for Toronto, and they add a pick with the #23 too. I think Masai has been holding out for huge offers from his players - but he will have to do some type of move eventually.

That Blazer team would have a ton of defensive concerns, injury concerns, cap concerns, and risk it could be a big flop. But starters are certainly a huge upgrade in talent from basically any Dame team of the last decade.

Its funny how often this choice is presented on this board and elsewhere.

But the Blazers can't choose, they only get whoever is left of the two.

What about Amen? They say even if he never improves his shooting he’s still going to be a huge threat attacking the hoop with athleticism we haven’t seen before.
I really miss someone pushing the ball up the court. Simons and Lillard aren’t going to do it. Hart did it. Watford does it, but he’s never going to be a starter.

Plus, at least right now, the Blazers have plenty of outside shooters for him to pass to. And he’s a very good passer. I think it would be murder on defenses. And Sharpe would reach his potential as a full-court and lob threat.

I just see both Brandon Miller and Scoot as clearly superior prospects. At #4 I'd consider Amen. Miller is way more NBA ready, has a way more complete game without weaknesses. Amen doesn't have Scoot dominant upside. Yes he has athletic gifts, but as you say terrible shooting, and he isn't particularly young (he's older than Sharpe).

Yeah we're splitting hairs here - he's still a great prospect. Just can't see any way it makes sense to draft him at #3 over Miller or Scoot.

Passing and keeping his dribble alive to set up teammates is a big strength for Scoot. That's why he isn't fools gold. While his defense isn't good right now, he fights for loose balls on both ends of the floor and can make a perfect bounce pass to a teammate under the hoop while leaping out of bounds after the ball.
The Blazers do not have anyone that passes at that level, but do have a lot of shooters to pass to.

Wrong! Dame is a much better passer than Scoot. Get outta here with that disrespect.

We already have a young PG who can't defend but can pass the ball... but Ant can at least shoot the lights out. Scoot can't.

Chris Paul was an absolute MONEY shooter at every level. And played defense like none other. I'm pretty confident in saying Scoot is no Chris Paul. We don't have to worry about that.

Chris Paul was a HORRIBLE three point shooter during his rookie season, but he massively turned it around and has shot over 40% a couple times.

Ya none of the guys projected top 10 workout this early. Usually a week or two before thedraft, they show up. I'm guessing we have like 7 or 8 dudes already schedule to come in. Maybe some for multiple workouts like we did with Shaedon last yr.
