I agree that my mood on MLB to PDX is pretty sour at this point but after so many years of being kicked in the balls, at some point you start to expect another boot to come along and connect with the testicles.

This guy says it improves his sex life? Portlanders must be very sexual.

The A's should just put up some rickety bleachers with a box for the announcers. Add some Vegas Showgirls to update the score , like they announce the rounds in boxing. On the cheap, of course. Kinda like the circus, under the big top. Bring back the A's elephant.

Old man Dwight tweeted that apparently they are now considering the Lloyd Center as the next phase of the grift.

Mike Barrett said the City of Portland is behind the efforts to bring MLB to Portland, where as previous leadership wasn't. Having a MLB team be the catalyst for development, and betterment of the metro area is a big step that will promote prosperity in the future. Coors Field in Denver is still the magnet for city changing development and prosperity almost 2 decades after it was built. And it isn't slowing down. That area pre Coors was not nice at all.

Portland's plan is a retractable Dome. Check out the Diamond Project renderings from one of the Best Sports Architecture firms in the world. Populous' design for PDX is off the chain nice.

Also I bet the city is behind this even more now than ever. With how bad we been latley something like this could change the trajectory towards positivity for the city in a major way

That Dome by the river would have been sweet.

And this place is beautiful in the summer. The retractable roof guaranty's no rain outs. Add the food carts all around, and an already good restaurant area, a big win all around. Traffic will always be a problem no matter where it's built because the area's freeway system is antiquated. But having those Max lines already there is a huge plus. The housing area around Lloyd Center is super nice. I deliver food in the area. Once the Albina Development gets going and the Blazers renovation is done, that area will pop with a new sense of identity . Add the MLB Stadium and it will be flat out amazing.

Infrastructure is apparently too expensive due to it being by the river.
