Another inexperienced POS HP ump that doesn’t know the difference of a ball or strike. Schmidt hitting the box and most of them called balls and of course yanks up and balls outside the box being called strikes. Surprised Boone lasted 3 innings before getting thrown out and getting his moneys worth with this idiot. There doesn’t seem to be many of any umps that can call balls and strikes and it should be embarrassing to MLB by now
Schmidt pitched a good 5 innings only giving up a run. Problem is the yanks only have 1 hit. The other problem is only 5 innings and need 4 from the bullpen again
As much as we like volpe have to be realistic. The kid is overmatched at the plate batting under .200 and making errors in the field. Perazza is a better fielder and batting .340 in triple A. Yanks need to make the switch. Cabrera also under .200 and needs more seasoning. Can’t keep running these automatic outs out there.
And Holmes comes in to give up the crushing 2 run double and the o’s up 3-0. This game is over and I’m going to bed
