Heat Game 7 is at home in game 6. They lose that then it’s Over for them

Brown is only a possibility if he wants out. There's no way Boston would willingly break up a young core that's already been to the finals and conference finals multiple times.

And is Brown really worth $250 million for 5 years?

The GM will have to offer whatever it takes to keep Brown, or he might as well tar and feather himself and ride a horse out of town. Otherwise, the fans will do it for him.

Depends if you want to keep winning at the same level as they are now. Who's going to replace Brown?

Depends what you mean by worth. These guys play a game for entertainment, none of them are worth a $10 dinner if your poor and hungry.

The salary cap is supposed going way over $150+ million and luxury tax cap will exceed $200 million so then this $50 million per year doesn't sound as detrimental. If you have some rookie contracts, good value role players, and only one other highly paid star, owners willing to pay some tax a few years, then yes it may be totally fine.

If the team doesn't have those, can't contend, or Brown gets a big injury then his contract could be a big problem.

It's not just the GM. Owners might say they have to cut payroll to get out of the tax. Brown might demand a trade as Grant and many stars have done.

OT: Portland need a Hockey Team. This playoffs are fun to watch. Why is there a hockey team from Florida and not in Portland?

Brogdon, White and Smart will combine for $59 million next season. Are they going to keep those guys and trade Brown?

Of course if Brown wants a trade, that's totally different.

If they trade Brown and his pending 250-295 million yes they can keep all 3 of those guys and have money to spare.

Looks like Boston with their 20 point lead is pushing this to a game 6 in Miami. Will have all the pressure on the Heat to close out at home, otherwise they risk going on the road to try and prevent the first 0-3 collapse in what 150 different playoff series?

If this goes to game 7 or the Celtics become the first ever 0-3 winner I think the Brown to Portland idea is probably dead. Heck just with them pushing this to a game 6 it might already be dead.

Kind of thought Boston would play like that from the beginning of the series?

Down 2-3 the Celtics beat the Bucks on the road last year and the Sixers this year. They’re mentally tough. Good luck Miami

Exactly where I'm at with this. Just like the Sixers series, it's either Heat in 6 or Celtics in 7.

Now I'm rooting for the Celtics. I want to see history.
I also believe they are the better team to go against the Nuggets.

    Let’s go Heat!

I wanted Adebayo in that draft. Still think he would have led to more success than Nurk has. Nothing against Nurk. Just think a Turner/Adebayo would work better alongside Dame. Granted, I’m surprised it didn’t work out with Whiteside.

It is history either way. When is the last time an 8th seed made the NBA Finals? All things considered, I'll root for the underdog, and Celtics have a huge talent advantage. Go Miami.
