Doesn't Dallas have Christian Wood? Nurk < Wood. Otherwise I like your post and agree with pretty much all of it. I also am not sure it's an upgrade for Boston (the have Robert William III if I remember correctly) and I think SAS may have a starting C next year. ;)

Wood is a free agent and I doubt he will be back in Dallas.

Ah OK. I am gonna go out on a limb and say SAS might see Wemby as a potential starter at Center next season.

Wood is also fools gold man. He has been dumped by three teams in three years. He's a headcase and he only looks good on a box score.

Durant played SG as a rookie, sounds like Wemba will play PF so he doesn't have to bang inside. Even if he plays some at center it's very possible there is enough minutes for both.

But I think Spurs might want a big veteran center to protect Wemba from banging against physical centers more than any concern of Nurks impact to the teams wins.

Interesting. They do love Twin Towers down Tey-Ha way.

Yeah, he was nothing and then he was very good and then ... he just can't seem to stick.

I dunno what's wrong with him, but there must be something.

Would you trade Ant + Nurk for KAT? No picks involved.

Minnesota is about to be in a ridiculous bind financially with Edwards' extension coming and KAT/Rudy earning 100 mil just by themselves. Simons could give them some breathing room and a PG to pair with Edwards for the near future.

And now if you want to get real creative, you send #3 and 23 to BK for Bridges and get wild.

I think with the right backup C and Thybulle back, you have a title contender next year.

    Dame
    Sharpe
    Bridges
    Grant
    KAT

Good lord, that offensive talent would be immense.

I'd do Ant and Nurk for KAT if we don't bring another veteran starter in. Kind of lets us try a new win now star duo with Dame but we keep all our youth.

I would not do a Brown or Bridges type trade with this though, that's too much youth we give up to win now and a lot of risk KAT won't help the team win now. But we lost that future upside.

I honestly have no idea what Ant's value is right now.

In the past, a guy his age who could do what he does would be worth a lot more.

Yeah its hard to know how NBA GM's value Ant. Even on this board you have some Ant fans that really want to keep him and others that seemingly would cut him for close to nothing viewing it as addition by subtraction. I think now that Sharpe is here Ant is no longer the young franchise player of the future that some viewed him as last year or prior. Also some Blazer fans might view him as less useful while Dame is here and/or they're just Dame fanatics with blinders for other talents. Although those last points really only impact his perceived value on this board and shouldn't impact how other GM's view him around the league.

I'd give up Ant if it gets us realistically closer to contend or some very nice long term assets. However in general I would prefer to not ship him out because I feel like he still has upside to be one of the leagues elite scorers, and thus we'd be selling low by trading him now.

I agree with you. I don't think Ant has peaked. If I had to bet, I would say he will be more consistent this year. Just staying healthy will help compared to last year. So as you allude to, his value will probably increase as long as he is getting 25+ minutes per game.

I immediately thought "pretty shitty list" then I saw it was 6 months old....still, it is a shitty list because Jaren Jackson, Walter Kessler, & Josh Giddey weren't on the lit at all, and they are all better than Ant. Michael Porter probably should have made the list as well

I still think a trade that makes sense for both teams is Ayton for Nurk, Ant and maybe a future 1st. Then either use the #3 draft pick on Bridges or keep it. Personally prefer to keep it draft Scoot or Miller.

    Dame
    Sharpe
    Bridges/Scoot or Miller
    Grant
    Ayton

Gives you chance to win now but also gives you a future with potential of a couple of guys who could turn into all stars. If Sharpe or Scoot/Miller/Bridges turns into stars then we become a damn good team

Phoenix benefits by getting depth replace Ayton with Nurk and now a good young point guard of the future in Ant. Plus a future draft pick (prefer not to but think Phoenix will demand it)
