Read a rumor where Orlando would trade Banchero for Scoot.

His name is Herro and Lowry hasn’t replaced him in the starting lineup. Lowry has been coming off the bench.

Sheed didn’t go to Rockets but like Clyde, he won the title immediately after being traded that season.

I think that is as likely as SAS trading their pick.

Here’s a hypothetical, if we trade Dame, would Mia put Bam in the deal?

    Bam/Duncan/Herro/Picks

    For

    Dame/Nurk/Little

Works money wise, not huge on Duncan or Herro but both provide bench scoring and the latter fits the new timeline.

    Simons
    Sharpe/Herro
    Amen(point-forward)/Thybulle
    Grant(probably walks)/Duncan/Wat
    Bam/#23/Walker

I just wanna say, love having a defensive stalwart on the 2nd unit. Love Thybulle. That is all.

No Miami wouldn't put a 25 year old star Bam into a trade for a 33 year old Lillard.

Even if they would it makes no sense for the Blazers. If they trade away Dame they don't need an all NBA player - they need multiple picks and youth.

Well I guess it's better than if he was starting like Aminu.

I still would prefer role players that can play both offense and defense. I guess as a 10th man or whatever Thybulle is fine.

    Isn’t 25 still considered youth?

Yes but then the Blazers wouldn't get any other pieces nor help their own picks.

If the Blazers trade away Lillard they don't need an all NBA player in his prime who has a ton of immediate value to contenders right now. They need to build assets, which includes having their own pick in the lottery a few years, but also cash in the trade value for multiple longer term assets.

Watching the Finals with the big Nuggets against the little Heat, it feels like a 6-9 SF/SG's stock is rising.

He'd have his prime ahead of him. There are very few players in the league I'd rather have on board for the next 6-8 seasons then Bam.

Having forwards with size/length, enough athleticism, and enough skills on O … would be nice.
Gordon + MPJ vs. Grant + Brown (or Bridges) … then Murray vs. Dame. Okay, can’t do a darn thing with Jokic, but I’d like to see it anyway.

So sorry, your comment was about #3 Miller, I assume.
It’s pretty cool to have #3!

I think Wagner also fits that description and might be easier to get.

Right, so would you give up Dame and the 3rd pick and something else for Bam?

First part of my reply was that no way the Heat would be interested in swapping Dame for Bam.

As long as we have a couple gunners id just like to trust the lead when we have it when the bench comes in.

Easier to teach a player to shoot than to teach them all the traits that Amen has

Wagner and Claxton, those 2 somehow alone would make us much better.

    Dame
    Sharpe
    Wagner
    Grant
    Claxton

    Completely fine with that lineup
