Let me get this straight, Dame wants Dogs, Fans want someone to show some emotion and fire. Scoot Henderson is both. So what’s the issue?

We have a team full of guys who dont show emotion on the court, we need someone that does.

Would the Cavs trade Allen for Simons?

    Lillard
    Scoot
    Sharpe
    Grant
    Allen

    Would this lineup work?

Cavs already have Donavan Mitchell. Why would they do that?

I like how Scoot looks like he's already ready, whereas Brandon Miller looks more like someone who will take a couple years to really show form.

Not saying Brandon is a project or whatever, but it's like Paolo vs Jabari. Paolo was ready from the get-go, and Jabari will take more time.

I like Amen and Scoot as possibilities. Not so high on Jaylen Brown (I think he's still making mistakes that should've been weeded out by now...in a way, Tatum and Brown are like Pierce and Antoine Walker), and imho, it shouldn't take the #3 + Simons to get Bridges (mostly because I think the Nets and fans are massively overreacting to the 27 games he played as a Net).

I'd almost rather over pay for Bridges with future picks than give up the #3.

But than again, I'm not even remotely being realistic and won't be upset if the team trades #3 to get a player (depending on the player).

I watched Kevin Durant's U of T highlights, and then Millers. They both get the shot off quick and pure. Both can finish in traffic. The only difference i saw , shot wise, was that Miller brings the ball down a little lower, before going up with the shot. But he's quick with it so i don't think it will be a problem. His shot looks very smooth. No hitches. He has some meanness in his attitude as well. I think he'll be good out of the gate.

By that logic, we should just sign Dillon Brooks and Westbrook.

I’m more concerned that he plays the same position as our star player, puts up Poot shooting numbers and poor defensive ratings.

Part of Miller's appeal is that he is a plug-and-play starter right now. Remember, he's also a year older, so that's why he tends to be more developed than most other prospects.

He's not even close to Jabari, who can't dribble nor pass off the dribble.

I've been against keeping the pick until the last week. Looking at Miller , size and skillset, and the ability to use other assets to bring a quality player like DeRozan , and a potential bench addition makes more sense. More bang for the buck. The future is now.

The more i watch miller and scoot, highlights and interviews, it went from miller (fit) to tie to scoot (superstar aura)

But this lineup us too short. Scoot would have to be 6th man. Ideally, Sharpe is SG and Grant is SF

As you allude to with Grant playing SF.......we can go big if we want to right now before we make any moves.

    Dame, Sharpe, Grant, Watford, Nurk.

There is only one ball so most of the shots should go to Dame, Sharpe, and Grant.
The bench is Ant, Thybulle, Little, Eubanks and ? (Cam, Walker, Knox or MLE)

So if we did draft Scoot, yes Ant gets traded and yes Scoot comes off the bench for a couple of years. Dame needs to pace himself as he gets older. He will also have more injuries so I do not see a problem with Scoot getting minutes.

The next move of course is what to we get for Ant if we do draft Scoot.

Yeah, I don't get the Jabari comp at all. Jabari was super raw coming in. The only thing he has over Miller is height. Miller is pretty much ahead in all other aspects of basketball coming in.

The emotion/dog part was just a bonus, I didn’t think I needed to state the obvious that he’s a badass and would help the team with his physical gifts.

His shouting may not be elite but from day 1 I bet he’s the best on the team at taking it to the rim. Dude is gonna draw so many fouls.

It's why I prefer players who put pressure on the defense. Miller doesn't do that as much as Scoot and Amen. I'm into getting easy buckets. While skilled, Miller doesn't seem to get to the rim or the free throw line as much. His skills are easier to duplicate.

I want an offense that gets easy buckets and gets to the free throw line. Scoot and Amen can provide that.

If his skills are easy to duplicate then why do we hardly ever find that type of SF? True getting easy buckets is important but keep in mind that come playoff time, if you can't shoot teams will take away the drive. At the very least you better be a good free throw shooter. You have to have the ability to attack and shoot. Maybe Miller didn't need to attack the rim as much because he scored so easily from the outside. I mean when you lead the conference in scoring, why change what is working? and it did pretty much work until the last game.

One thing I hate about the college game is how often defenders give up their bodies to draw a charge. The refs seem to side with the defense more in college and when you only get 5 fouls you sit in the first half after 2. Maybe this is a factor as well, I am not sure but just because a one-and-done did not get to the rim, doesn't mean he can't.

Brandon Miller ft rate = 33%
    Amen = 35%

Scoot's true FTrate I'm not sure.

To suggest Brandon Miller doesn't put pressure on the defense is ... interesting.

He arguably puts more pressure on the defense because they can't just let him bomb away from 3.

It's like Ja vs Steph. Ja's FTrate is nearly twice Steph's, but I don't think you'd find anyone who says Ja is harder to guard than Steph.

A 6'9 SF who can pass, dribble, and shoot is easy to duplicate?

I wonder why that's what every team wants if it's so easy to find?

I said it awhile ago that I thought we should take Scoop over Wemby. Which some people thought was crazy talk. I just don’t trust the gangly types.

But this is the perfect opportunity to get a young franchise guard with marketability while still reshaping the roster with youth.

Scoot has superstar written all over him. A stronger, better passing Morant. You build a team with length and shooting around him and we could flip the script quickly.

Lillard is amazing, great player, great ambassador. But I’ll ALWAYS be a Blazer fan first before any kind of player allegiance.

These are exciting and fun times for us as a franchise.
