<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA is changing the way teams are seeded in the postseason, looking to avoid the controversy that surrounded last season's playoffs.Under the change, the top four seeds -- the three division winners and the second-place team with the best record -- will be seeded according to their win-loss total, guaranteeing that the top two teams in each conference can't meet until the conference finals, the league announced Wednesday.</div>http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/bask...s.ap/index.htmlI think its a very good move for the Nba. Like stated the matchups will be better which in result will bring more attention and be more interesting.

It's still stupid. B/c the Nuggets would still have gotten the 4 seed under the system, when going by records and head-to-head tiebreakers, they should have been the 8th seed. They should allow division champions to raise a banner and sell hats and shirts, but it shouldn't be an automatic bid for the playoffs. And they should just seed it 1-8. If they do this, this is what the seedings would have been:1. San Antiono2. Dallas3. Phoenix4. Memphis5. Clippers6. Lakers7. Sacramento8. Denver
