I think this might be a bad deal for both sides....Yeah, KG is one hell of a player, but after Pierce and Allen there is just about nothing on that roster anymore. You can't win with only 3 guys (Then again, it is the Eastern Conference). Whereas Minnesota gets a bunch of decent pieces, but I doubt any player in that package comes anywheres near what KG was for them.
I don't dislike the deal. KG wasn't going to be on our team after this season, so now we dealt him for players with a lot of upside. Jefferson will probably be an All-Star for years to come, Gerald Green has the potential to be an All-Star, Gomes could be reliable at least, and Telfair has a shitload of potential, just hasn't been able to reach it yet. Hopefully he will in Minnesota. Not to mention we get 2 first round picks.
The reason Telfair hasn't reached it yet is because he didn't get enough time to show himself. If he actually gets to shoot more, he'll become a lot better. I think that the stacked talent won't have a giant effect like other teams. KG is a big guy on the inside, Allen is great for outside shots and Pierce can pretty much do whatever is in between. I think it will be a good team.
