I'm hearing that the Falcons are interested in obtaining either McCown or Walter from us since the move to Joey Harrington isn't quite working out.

If I had to make that choice I'd give up McCown. As I stated in my last post, I fail to see what the fascination with McCown is all about. Now I'm not shining up a bust ofWalter for Canton, but I think he's way better than McCown.

They may be interested, but I dont think its because they have lost faith in Harrington....I dont think either QB is all that good, but Andrews atleast has a big time arm....

The raiders are in no position to trade a QB right now!

Espn was talking about a different theory. Some feel that Russel never wanted to play for Oakland and that he is now causing quiet histeria and tryiong to either get dished or over price himself.

If the RAIDERS trade a QB it will be Walter for better or worse. Why Mr. Davis is so enamored withMcCown is anybody’s guess. He has sometimes seen things in players that others haven’t. ‘course he’s made a few mistakes along the way as well. ‘tis the nature of throwing the long pass, a risk and reward thing if you will.

As an outsider, I'd definitely try to get rid of somebody. I don't know what on earth the deal with Russell is, but they really shouldn't be bringing in a guy who's a starter in the league (or thinks he is) in Culpepper and not getting Russell signed.

If I was going to get rid of McCown or Walter, it'd be McCown because you might actually get something for him. I can't imagine there's much interest at all in Walter, whereas McCown might actually get them a pick or something. Not that he's great, but he's not been completely woeful, and Walter has been. He's just plain not very good looking to me.

I'd have no problem shipping either one off. Whoever would net more value should be traded as soon as Jamarcus signs. Walter is still young hand has "potential" he can defiitely pass and has a great arm but lacks in other areas. McCown may interest some teams who want a known commodity to give them some insurance for their starter, hes got a good amount of experience starting and can do a little bit of everything.
