85 million pounds or Euros? There is a considerable difference. And considering how frugal Chelsea has been on the transfer market, and even sell Robben... I think there is a chance, as this would make Chelsea a lot more free flowing on offense, something Abramovich wanted even last year.

Weird considering he doesn't play in England. Why won't they use Euros?

THIS is all I could find about the clouse, and yes its 85 mill pounds. IMO it would be dumb to spend that much money on him. Yes he's good but with that kind dough you could get 3 to 5 good players and be better as a team.

You buy a decent starting eleven with that kind of money! My guess is if this would happen, I doubt Chelsea will be able to get him, that Chelsea would sell Ballack for sure.

No you couldn't. In fact you won't have a single impact player without any luck.

Ok, say they can't buy a decent starting eleven. They have a damn good starting eleven as it is right now. With the money he wants to spend on Ronaldinho he could take Chelsea to another level and leave Utd and the rest behind and not worry about a thing. That's why I don't understand why he wants to spend so much on Ron, it's just crazy, so much money.

Because he hates Mourinho. Last year he stopped going to Chelsea games. Remember how there were tifs about how he wanted Chelsea to play more exciting soccer? The style Mourinho plays is for small clubs.... score once, and hold the ball, play 10 men back. If he gets Ronaldinho, 2 time World Player of the year, he would have no choice but to push the team offensively or look like a complete tool.

I agree about Mourinho, but why not fire him and get someone better? (eriksson was available)

Even though his perferred style of play is boring, he has trophies. Hard to justify getting rid of a guy who wins. So this would be the next best thing.

Adriano, 25, has also been linked with Manchester City, while Serie A side Lazio have also stated their interest in landing the Brazilian.

A statement by the Hammers said: "We are investigating the possibility of a loan deal at this stage."

But Curbishley said: "I don't know too much about it to be fair.

"Is it speculation or is there something in it? I don't know."

Adriano has slipped down the pecking order at Inter and fellow Serie A side Lazio would take him depending on his attitude.

The Brazilian has scored 25 goals in 37 games for his country but has suffered a loss of form amid a succession of injuries and doubts over his commitment.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he rejected a chance to take Adriano on loan.

Part of Wenger's refusal to do business with Inter was because they wanted an unnamed Arsenal player on loan as part of the deal.

They wanted to give us a player but wanted one back in return.
"I won't say who it was. I didn't want to lose the player they requested. I didn't necessarily think Adriano would upset the balance of the squad."
