Since the Chargers pick ahead of the RAIDERS... We are (nearly) assured of a better selection. Who's this year's Ryan Leaf? [IMG]

The Chargers will find a way to pass on Eli.

Hey. As long as Rothliesberger or Rivers is there @ #20, I'll be okay. If not, I would love to see Roy Williams (Texas WR) or Samie Parker (Oregon WR) in Aqua, Orange, & White next year.

Do the Chargers really need a QB so much as a WR or Defensive help?

BA you may get a shot at Michigan's John Navarre or Michigan State's Jeff Smoker at #20. I think Manning, Roethliesberger and Rivers will be gone before then. I think Navarre may be a Jim Kelly like Pro. Watch him in the Rose Bowl,

If Navarre can put up even decent numbers against Pete Carrolls defense I'll be impressed. Wow, the days of Pete, it seems so long ago.

I have seen Navarre play and he has potential Nothing against Navarre but just don't think that he is a 1st rounder or what Miami needs.

Smoker would be okay. He has overcome major adversity and has better raw skills IMO.

I would rather go w/ Clausen from Tennessee or Pickett from Washington in the 3rd if Rothliesberger and Rivers are off the board.

Jeff smoker and john navarre are scouts wet dreams. They both
have strong arms and size. I think jeff smoker could very well
be one of the great qbs in the nfl but his drug problems in college
will always haunt him. Navarre what can you say for this kid. He's
broke almost all michigans qbs records. Bradys, greise, grbac etc.

Miami if they want a qb that bad will likely trade up to get a shot
at phillps. Who is imo probably better then roethisleberger.

I think the chargers draft roy williams 1st overall. David boston
clearly needs help and he needs to lose his bulk. Adding a player
of williams size would make bree's look very good and the bolts
    offense more scary.

I think Navarre is going to be a tremendous pro QB. I do have to agree that he will not be a firts rounder, but this year's QB class is looking terrific.

I think the Bolts are just cursed. They keep making all the wrong moves and it wouldn't suprise me if whoever they pick ends up eclipsing Leaf's "bustability". Which would be hard to do.

I think Rothliesberger will be a bust. I'm calling it now. As for any other quarterback than Manning, I'm not sure who will set the NFL on fire. I know whoever gets Manning will have a great franchise QB. <hoping the Steelers trade up>

Sf, i agree im not impressed with rothliesberger
myself. Gogo not all the chargers picks have been
bust remember they traded there number 1 pick
with atltanta and got the falcons pick at 6 and took
tomlinson as the falcons took vick overall 1.

I take lt anyday over vick but then again its such a
coin toss it could go eithier way. All depends on the
teams needs. Getting brees in the 2nd round at the
time was perfect for the bolts.

i am going to have to disagree i think (crack) smoker, and navarre are overrated and will be backups or practice squad players/ In fact if you live in right area they may bag your grocereis someday

I think with there size and long arm reach they would make above average baggers. Good work ethic and I can see them promoted to night time manager in no time.

One of them may be good enough to stock too(of course its not unprecedented for a stock boy to go on to Super Bowl winning QB, so there is still hope for them)

    Nah,

Jeff smoker or navarre will be gone on the second
day. They have the size and arm strength to give
scouts wet dreams all depends on how they perform
at the combines. Will they be starters in the nfl?

I know they can throw spirals unlike a famous
    grocery bagger in stlouis. lol.

Anyone can be a ryan leaf story or even a tom brady
    story.
