What player, college, retired, international, in the streets, could come in the NBA right now and make the biggest impact?

My money's on OJ Mayo personally.

I don't even consider Mayo the best in his draft class, I would definitely consider taking Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley over OJ. I'm also hearing alot of good things about this Ricky Rubio guard out of Spain. He's only 16 right now so we won't see him in the draft just yet.

For the "Streetballer", I nominate AO. I think he can be a good backup somewhere.

SLAM isn't the most reliable source, just look at what they did to Sebastian Telfair. However, Rubio has shown numerous scouts that he's going to be ready to play when it's time for him to enter the draft.

IMO telfair still has a chance.

and with as many misses that they've had, i'd say they've had a much greater number of hits. ever read their pick & roll? there's plenty of players who they thought would do good in the future, and what do ya know, they became successful.

Well of course Telfair still has a chance to be a succesful role-player in this league but there is no doubtint that SLAM way over-hyped him. They made him out to be the next big PG and that never happened.

Ive been real high on Mayo myself, for streetballer, it would definitely be that professor kid, hes got skills. Internationally, Romel Beck has my attention

ya, professor's shooting and "handling" skills would be nice, but he'd be the worst defender on earth. how about helicopter?
