Have yall not ever thought maybe a European player?

I wouldnt know who, but just saying....

I remember Stephen A Smith asking Oscar Robertson, "do you think theres a another lebron james out there as far as skill and maturity NOT in the NBA?". Big Os respone was "yes, probably a few".

I like the guy Basillie who trashedour olympic team a couple years back. Crazy J on that guy. And as far as streetballers, AO has a better handle, better vision, and he'd actually have a team concept. Professor just has some handle, he's also kind of smallish.
Come on guys, you've got to be kidding. There are more than a few players in the Euroleague who are better than OJ Mayo, Derrick Rose and all those retired and old dudes some of you mentioned.
My pick would be either Theodoros Papaluokas or Matjaz Smodis from CSKA Moscow. Both are superb players who deserve a spot in the NBA.

(just look at Jaskivecius..)
with that said, i'd love to see papaluokas come to the NBA. i wanna see just how good he could really be.
But personally, i'd still say Rubio is the best.

And as players, I'd take both Papaloukas and Smodis over Rubio, Mayo etc.

What about Ayuso? I think he could do pretty good in the NBA, in a combo guard spot. He has good handles too. Having him and a guy like Gordon, Kidd, Williams in a backcourt together with him would be fun to watch, and would probably mesh good together.
Romel Beck is a guy I look at everytime he plays. He should be in the NBA, because he can score, distribute and help his team win.
For streetballers I would say no one, becuase they don't defend well, and just look at, Corey Williams, I think his name is, on the Nuggets.

I agree with Shake, Beck is someone i would look at if I was a GM. And I read on SLAM about that Ricky Rubio kid, they said he's suspose to be like a Steve Nash except bigger.

If you're the best player not in the NBA, then i'd say you should succeed in any league...including the NBA.
True, but not succeeding in the NBA doesn't make you a worse player. It just means that you have trouble adapting to new styles/places. Does Jasikevicius not succeeding in the NBA may him a less talented player than say, Jose Calderon, who has done well in the NBA so far? No. He's still the more talented player.
The SLAM article on Rubio said he was one of the best players not in the NBA but that was a stretch. However, give him a couple more years and he probably with be a top 5 pick in the Draft.
