About time    But that's the difference between him and Karl regarding rings-if he had a chance at one next season he'd keep playing but he doesnt really and he's not going to play for another team.I really admire him for that and the way he played. Unlike Karl who's going elsewhere for a ring but it's understandable because Utah dont have a chance now and he does deserve one.

If put in the right situation..miller will do good..he did badly this year because the other clips only cared after next season as they are all FA's

The end of a great career. Two of the greatest players have retired this year, Michael and now John. He truly was one of the best point guards ever to set foot on a hardwood floor. I honor and respect you John. You have paved the way for many of he NBA's great point guards.

Thank you for your desire and passion to win!

Im gonna miss Stock, but no way as much as the Utah Jazz, now that Stock's gone Malone will definitely go and Sloan wont coach a team of young players. For Years Stock+Malone+Sloan =Playoffs but they may not have any of the 3 but no one could expect him to play another season-he'd be 42 in the regular season. But for Stock himself I think he is the best PG in NBA history(remember I'm a Jazz fan) and he is well underrated throughout his career.

Great career. I dont think anybody will be able to pass Stocktons record in assists and steals.

Yeah i know. I wish he could go to a team that could win him and Karl a ring, too bad he didnt get it, both of them certainly deserved it. John was only one of a few fundamental players in the game that wanted consistency over flash. Too bad he has to go...

Michael deserved to have his retirement (?) hyped up, he is the greatest of all time and should be recognized. I don't think Michael is the one that wanted to "hype it up," the NBA is a business, and it chose to do it for money reasons only. They dedicated the All-Star weekend, and raked in a whole bunch of money, same with this. Ratings went up by a tremendous percentage, plus they were advertising it on any TV channels they could.
