AK47 always plays Kobe well. Those long arms are deceiving.

I hate seeing Kobe icing that knee after every timeout. I hope Lakers can steal this game.

The way Madsen is playing, Walker won't be missed all that much. Walker is a damn scrub.

I'm still hoping we can get Ratliff & Terry for the strectch run.

Kudos to Alley-oop on predicting Kobe getting 40.

I can't see anyone predicting a 6 point win by the Lakers.

I haven't seen anyone in the zone Kobe is in since Jordan in the 90s.

GReaT win for the Lakers! Too bad Kobe couldn't hit both FT's at the end to get 40ppg again, but I'll take the W anyday.

The BenchMob was awesome! Rush made some big shots for the Lakers while Kobe rested.

The stats at nba.com and espn say he scored 40.

even i...the most ridiculously enthusiastic and biased laker fan in the world...was afraid that the lakers would slip off tonite...however...i knew they would be ok once Kobe got out on the floor...he had more bounce in his step tonight and the report at halftime said that Kobe's knee actually felt better, not worse, then it did yesterday...that was a major factor...

plus the bench for the start of the 4th quarter...man those guys played awesome...executed the offense perfectly, got great looks, and knocked down shots while holding it down on defense too...team effort all around...even kobe knew it...

gotta give credit to the lakers. theyve beatten a couple good teams without shaq and with kobe practically shooting before he even gets the ball. itll be an interseting race down the stretch to see if the rockets jazz suns etc. are able to hold off the lakers for the last playoff spot. if they make it theyll likelyu be paired with dallas or sacremanto in teh first round

My prediction was right Kobe did score 40. Thanks for noticing NBAddict. I am surprised that the Lakers are winning now even without Shaq.

"theyve beatten a couple good teams without shaq and with kobe practically shooting before he even gets the ball"

you act like Kobe 'shooting before he even gets the ball' is a bad thing...

first of all...kobe distributed the ball VERY WELL in the houston game...when Shaq is out...the offense is supposed to run through Kobe...he is supposed to be the one handling the ball, taking the majority of the shots...and creating for his teammates as a secondary option...

i cant even comprehend how ANYONE could come up with negative things to say about Kobe on a streak like this...the guy is shooting 50% from the field and 49% from 3pt range over an 11 game period while averaging 43 points and something like 3 boards and 3 assists...his boards and assists numbers are down considerably but thats thanks to the fact that Horry is eating up the boards (thats what i like to see) and Kobe is (and is supposed to be) looking to create his own scoring opportunities...fisher is certainly not going to create scoring opportunities for anyone else while he's being guarded by steve francis...if he's hogging the ball a little bit...um so what? the guy is playing the role that T-Mac played all season...except for scoring more on a better percentage...

point is...without shaq in there...the Lakers are even worse off then the Magic...in Orlando T-Mac should be taking close to 30 shots in a game and looking to create for his teammates as an afterthought...them winning or losing depends on how many of those 30 he can put down...but at least when T-Mac gets held up he could dish to Mike Miller (eh not anymore but yah) Garrity, Armstrong etc...and now he'll have a nice time dishing off to Giricek and Gooden...Mike Miller and Armstrong were better then anyone else on the Lakers besides Kobe and Shaq...so don't blame Kobe for wanting to dominate the scoring during this period of time...thats what he is supposed to do...and thats what Phil Jackson told him to do (even before Shaq went out)...the last 11 games...The offense has run through Kobe and i wouldn't be surprised if it stayed that way...
