i think that each NBA team can protect a certain amount of players
(probably between 6-8 ), and the expansion team gets to choose between the remaining players, that are not protected.

its way too early to choose this, we have to see who every team will protect, that would probably be the best question, on your fav team who would you protect(we'll say u can protect 8)

2004 they get the 4th overall pick and wont be able to qualify for the first overall pick until 2005...

Each team in the NBA gets to protect 8 players... so alot of teams will leave a lot of high priced guys out there....They could have a playoff team quickly being in the east....

It will be who ever they select with the forth pick. Podkolzine,Perovic,Warrick,Gordan all possibilities. I think in the expansion draft they can get Wallace(kings) could be a good player.

That would be pretty cool if kobe left LA. He can TRY to prove that he can win a title without shaq (which i dont think he can)

Kobe wont leave L.A. he will stay there for atleast 3 nore years....i think they should try to get warrick in the draft...or mayb try to lure a big free agent there..but i dont think kobe will go there unless jordan takes a spot on there gm board or w.e. it is..

Same with the Jazz, who goes to SLC for Jazz music. Haha. When teams are transfered, their team names should be changed. Something like the Utah Mourmons or something, hahaha!

In previous expansion drafts teams could protect 8 players. Since there are more teams now it could go to 9 but that would leave for some very slim pickings.

8 on the other hand hurts teams that have built a 4 man bench. In that case most teams would leave their highest salaried bench guys in hopes of scaring the bobcats into taking cheaper talent

they aren't getting lebron no way but i tell you they need to get someone to run the offense or someone to build a team around.

they'll have a big field to choose from. not to mention they still get a high pick in the draft. if i were Joe Dumars of the Detroit Pistons. I would keep...

    Ben Wallace
    Chucky Atkins
    Chauncey Billups
    Rip Hamilton
    Tayshaun Prince
    Corliss Williamson
    Darko Milicic
    Rebraca or Okur

Now if i were had to choose portland's players i'd pick...

    Derek Anderson
Travis Outlaw (aka Jermaine's 2nd Coming)
    Zach Randolph(i smell all-star)
    Bonzi Wells
Damon Stoudamire(my fave player and best ankle biter in the league)
    Arvydas Sabonis
    Dale Davis
    Ruben Patterson

Good bye and good riddens to Rasheed Wallace...Hello to a Portland now with less technical fouls!!! brought to you by the same people who would give Jamal Crawford the shaft and take Kirk Hinrich.

The Raps got the 7th pick they got Damon Stoudamire who became the rookie of the year and the Grizz i thought had the 6th pick because they got Bryant Reeves now retired.

I do believe that Charlotte will get the 4th pick in the '05 Draft.
