When Shaq and KObe are heathy I think that Lakers are still the best team in the whole league so I woudn't be suprised if thry win another one

Lakers to the fourth spot. wow. I personally think they will gain the 6th spot. but any more than that can be tough

Lakers to the fourth spot

Does that sounds weird to you?

Lakers are very close

Here are teams they got to catch

Utah Jazz - 35 26 Streak Lost 1
Minnesota Timberwolves 40-24 Streak 3
Portland TrailBlazers 39-22 Streak Lost 2

Los Angeles Lakers -34 26 Streak - Won 2 (won 8 games of last 9)

Lakers are very close.
All those teams are struggling right now and they are not so good as the Lakers.
Jazz are playing Mavs 2night and if theay lose Lakers are 6th.
TWolves are only 2 games and Blazers are 4 games ahead.
Lakers will soon be better than Wolves and Blazers will go down soooonn.

With healthy Shaq and Kobe they are still the best team in the league and they will have very good record till the end of the season.
if they really wannt home adventage........they are gonna get it

Nope.

Kevin Garnett is just playing great ball this season, and this year I think he has enough help to get to the second round. It's all in his hands though.

I think the Spurs are going to catch the Mavs.

Dallas has 2 games left against SA, 2 against the Lakers, and 1 against SAC.

But SA has played SAC all 4 times (going 3-1), and the Lakers 3 times (going 3-0).

The games between Dallas and SA could decide the best record in the NBA.

Pistons won't make it far, that's for sure. They could make the finals without a "go-to-guy", but they won't do any damage at all.

Wizards are a good team people, they aren't great though. Jordan and Stackhouse if they both play good ball, they can beat them.

I am not saying it will happen, I am just saying it's a possibility.

I also don't see the Nets getting far.

the Mavs won't beat hte Lakers twice with shaq and kobe playing the way they are...those remaining two games will either go a 1-1 split (if dallas has everyone hot for one of the games) or 2-0 to the Lakers...

dallas just isn't that good of a team...every analyst around understands that dallas doesn't have what it takes to beat the Kings / Lakers or maybe even the Spurs in a best of 7 series...defense is gonna be key for them...they hafta step it up on the defensive end to have a shot because playoff ball is completely different from the regular season...

as for the Eastern Conference...i won't put much time into this because they are just gonna lose to the west in the end anyways...

1.Pistons
2.Nets
3.Pacers
4.Sixers
5.Hornets (*)
6.Celtics (*)
7.Magic
8.Bucks(*)

(*) denotes loser

i didn't mark the Magic / Nets series as to who i think will win...I want to see how Gooden and Giricek continue to develop first...right now i'd say the matchup is just about even with a slight favor to the Nets...but t-mac should be able to dominate them, especially with K-Mart having his hands full with gooden down low...Kidd's experience and team leadership vs T-Mac's undeniable talent...i'd say thats the wildcard matchup in the East...

the Bucks also have a shot at shooting their way past the Pistons but I don't think it'll happen...

The West:

1. Mavs
2. Kings
3. Spurs
4. Lakers
5. Wolves (*)
6. Blazers (*)
7. Jazz (*)
8. Suns (*)

this is how i think the playoff standings will play out...look for the blazers to have yet another late season let down...its wut happens when your team lacks chemistry...

each of those 4 teams should win easily vs their opening round opponent...leaving the Lakers matched up with the Mavs and the Spurs matched up with the Kings...

the Lakers should take the mavs (4-2)
and the Kings should beat the Spurs (4-3)

leaving the Lakers vs Kings again for the championship (sorry east people you all know you can't beat either team in a best of 7)...

This may be the Kings year...a lot of people seem to think so...Webber is playing great, peja is shooting lights out, bibby sux haha, but for me...i don't think so...

they still cant stop Shaq in the middle...and still can't stop Kobe from the perimeter or from getting into the lane and causing all sorts of ruckus...christie is a good defender...but kobe is kobe...and if Kobe plays the game right (meaning he distributes the ball well to Shaq and the others therefore getting EASIER shots for himself to knock down as well as his teammates) then the Lakers should have enough to take it...

my call...4-2 Lakers

coming out of the East...i like either the Pacers or the Nets (if they can get past the Magic i don't think any other team is dangerous enough to beat them)
