Man I'm excited for the upcoming season. Altough I am a Mavericks fan I like the Nuggets. I bet they will make the playoffs if three things happens for them. First, sign Travis Best. Underrated point guard. Explosive. Can knock down threes and mid range jumpers. Best is a great penetrator. Second, a healthy Marcus Camby for the entire season. Camby to me is a true Center even tough a bit thin. Third, sign Juwan Howard as his contract has expired. This would be next years starting 5 Travis Best Carmelo Anthony Juwan Howard Nene Hilario Marcus Camby Now that is a as talented starting 5 as any in the leauge. Perfect mix of youngsters and vets. Bring Junior Harrington off the bench, give Tsitiskvili minutes at the 3 and 4. Shammond Williams can play his natural position, the 2. And watch out as Chris Andersen will sneak up as a top rebounder. Playoffs, no doubt.
signing Travis Best would be a great idea. I dunno why the Bulls got rid of him. I've seen nothing but good things from him after he left.
Travis Best isn't underrated, he just plain sucks. Carmelo will be playing SF, and you've got no other possible "bigger-name" FAs on that starting list, doing a couple more possibilities would be a good idea.

So I think it's important to keep it together. And from what I've seen from Carmelo, it looks like he's got both the speed and the handle to play the 2. Injuries can Fukk even the best team up. Travis Best does not suck. He made a game winner earlier this year against the Knicks and he played very well early in the season, but then he got hurt and the heat fell out of the playoff race. Trust me, all the Nugs gotta do is to get Howard back, Sign Best and give Carmelo minutes and I think they will make the playoffs.

yea...travis best sucks, him starting at your point would only hurt the team, he dribbles around too much and doesnt make anything happen, and hes a streaky shooter. juwan at the 3 spot would hurt you too, hes too big and slow to guard the 3 spot...and lets be honest, camby will get hurt again, hes like glass man from the movie 'unbreakable' if you guys sign gilbert youll be better off, but im with allnet, even with gilbert your still far from the playoffs
on ESPNews they just said today that the nuggets are going to sign Corey maggette, which would lead me to believe that Andre Miller could be on his way to the nuggets in a same "package" deal that the lakers and nets have already used in getting malone/payton and mourning/kidd respectivley
i don't think that they will get both of them, i'm still sold that dre is going to utah. signing maggette is a good signing, i think they will also sign arenas.
