That's what the Lakers have taken care of this off season. If Shaq or Kobe goes down, they can still be a .667 kind of team....

    Rooks?
    Malone
    George
    Kobe
    Payton

...will still win 2 out of every 3 games.</div>

dude...sean rooks hasnt played for the lake show for a few years now

and without shaq, i could still see sac town or mavs or san an give them a good go...i think the west will be still really compeditive

might be true.. but will they still win the championship?
If they meet with NJ in the Finals again.. with Mourning and Mutombo healthy... it will be a different story...

I bet mourning won't even play 40 games next year..i think some nets fans are expecting too much from him...he hasn't played for well over years.

i agree with allnet and J-mac, i don't think that he will be able to play that many games, and don't think he will be able to play as effectively as before.

ofcourse he lacks playing rhythm, but the doctors have cleared him to play pro-ball again, so according to them he should be able to play a full season again...

as long as he's cleared by the doctors to play, he'll be fine. someone said he hasnt played well in years? 2 years ago when he played last he avged 16 pts and 9 rebs and was an allstar, thats not playing well? he'll be lucky to get that in nj cause he'll play around 30 mins a game or so because the nets are so deep and theyll conserve him. also 2 years ago i think he played all 82 games. and its not like hes old, hes only like 33. the nets are so deep at center now i wish they could ship out mutumbo for something, they now have mutombo , mourning, jason collins, aaron williams, and krystc who now probably wont even play for em this season i wouldnt think. i wish the new season was starting this week [IMG]
