I 100% agree. I think that they should have played him from the start. Last time he came to Memphis he got over 30 points and 20 rebounds. I think he is definitely a future All-Star and the Blazers are going to lose him to Free Agency if they don't start him next season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting raptors21:</div><div class="quote_post">sheed should be traded because randolf cant play center.</div>He can play Center. He did at Michigan State. He is just better at Power Forward.
Yah in college most centers are nt very tall. Sheed played center in college. Maybe if they were in the east the could start Randolf and Sheed. Sheed could play some Small foward.
After the playoffs their started being Sheed trade rumors and man I hope thats true. Don't mistake me because Sheed is a good player, but I do not want to see another Jermaine O'Neal type travesty so we can sink our heads even lower. If we dont trade Rasheed then the least we could do is start Sheed at center and Z-Bo at power. They are both quality players, but with Zach being younger and showing huge potential I think we should start him so he can face harder players than as a backup and therefore get better faster. In turn we should package Damon and Sheed the hell outta Portland.
Keep Damon Because Who Kept Him In The Game Against The Mavs Hello The Mighty Mouse...though Sheed Needs To Go Bye Bye And They Could Trade For Say Marcus Camby...i Don't Want Him In Cleveland Cuz Thats My Home State I Don't Want Sheed There.
Randolph easy. If the blazers dont trade wallace this season, expect mo cheeks to leave next season, he has done so much 4 the team yet the team has done so little 4 him. Sheed was suppose 2 be a leader and go 2 guy. what leader and go to guy doesnt demand the ball to lift his team. Sheed is a big dissapointment , expect him 2 be gone soon.
All this Randolph talk............. Its still Rasheed. Rasheed is the better of the 2. Portland is still in "competing for title" mode. Yes, they most likely wont win it, but they are going to make yet another push. And for that, they need Rasheed. Say all you want about Randolphs low post game, and some of his better games...... But Rasheed is the superior defender. Look at San Antonio. They wont with defense. Duncan is a very good defensive player. As is Bowen, Jackson, and Ginobili. San Antonio won with defense. If Portland wants to win, they must do it the same way. Why do you think Dallas hasn't ever made it to the finals? They have the talent. Just not the defense. Portland still needs Rasheed. Zach hasn't established himself as a good defender yet. Rasheed is also more versatile, able to play some at the 3, 4, and even the 5. Zach can give you some minutes at the 5, but is suited for the 3. Sure, Zach has had some big games. But that doesn't make him the better player to date. He is going to be groomed for the spot at PF in the future. He will also be given more PT next year. Just not as a starter.
Randolf would be better off in the east because he has a very hard time guarding the big power forward like Duncan,Webber etc. He cant match there height.

Also must say your right about him being dissapointing as a go 2 guy.. It feels like every time i watch the blazers play there losing to the lakers in the final seconds.. good luck pippen in chi town.
And the Raptors could have had him but instead they took Micheal Bradley. What a dumb pick. We could have had Qyntel Wooods instead of Jeffries too.

Elton Brand is 6'8" Of course, he has a huge wingspan as well. Barkley was 6'6" or below. Heigth isn't always everything. Randolph needs to put more time and energy into his defense.

Portland would love to unload Patterson....but its hard to find a taker.
