Detroit Pistons

Protected
Chucky Atkins
Chauncey Billups
Richard Hamilton
Darko Milicic
Mehmet Okur (Assuming that he resigns)
Tayshaun Prince
Ben Wallace
Corliss Williamson

Unprotected
Elden Cambell
Hubert Davis
Tremaine Fowlkes
Darvin Ham
Lindsey Hunter
Zeljko Rebraca
Bob Sura

I don't know who the Bobcats would want, most of these players are nearing the end. Some of them are worthless.

Utah Jazz

Protected

Greg Ostertag
Andrei Kirilenko
Matt Harpring
Deshawn Stevenson
Carlos Arroyo
Raul Lopez
Raja Bell
Aleksandar Pavlovic

Unprotected

1. Keon Clark (Utah aren't that high on him)
2. Jarron Collins
3. Ben Handlogten
4. Mo Williams
5. Curtis Borchardt
6. Michael Ruffin

Keon Clark and Mo Williams would be the players that the Bobcats ate most interested in. The rest probably don't have a chance of being singed.

Cleveland Cavaliers

If today...

LeBron James
Carlos Boozer
DeSagana Diop
Dajuan Wagner
Tony Battie
Zydrunas Ilgauskas*
Eric Williams - FA
Darius Miles*

1. J.R. Bremer
2. Kevin Ollie
3. Bruno Sundov
4. Ira Newble
5. Jason Kapono
6. Kedrick Brown

This will change for the Cavaliers no doubt. Miles and Ilgauskas are as good as gone, and I am sure they would like to hold on to Kedrick Brown. The Cavaliers as of now have a 14 man roster, one below the active limit.

I'll do Orlando since when sportsrock did it it was way different..

Protected players:
T-Mac
Drew Gooden
Tyronn Lue
Juwan Howard
Keith Bogans
Steven Hunter
Zaza Pachulia
Grant Hill

Unprotected Players:
Reece Gaines
Andrew Declerq
Pat Garrity
Desmond Penigar (10 day contract today)
Sean Rooks (FA end of season)
DeShawn Stevenson
Rod Strickland (FA end of season)

If I was the cats GM depending on what's missing I'll pick Reece Gaines , he was really good and still hasent show what he can do in the NBA. Another guys are Pat Garrity , great shooter , and Deshawn Stevenson depending on how well he does he might get protected even tho I'm not sure if he will be a Free Agent next season.

EDIT: Let's change DeShawn Stevenson to protected players since we've seen what he can do maybe having Stevenson and Garrity for Hill and Zaza or Hunter...

The Cavs -

The Deadline has pasted, so now we know what the roster will be. Here's what I think.

Protected Players:
LeBron James
Tony Battie
Jeff McInnis
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Dajuan Wagner
Carlos Boozer
Jason Kapono
DeSagna Diop

Unprotected Players:
Kedrick Brown
Kevin Ollie
Ira Newble
J.R. Bremer
R B-B

Free Agent:
Eric Williams

If I were the bobcats and this was what I had to chose from, I would probably pick Kevin Ollie. If not Kedrick Brown, maybe Ira Newble.

Doubt they'd take Kevin Ollie, not with four more years left on his deal.

updated suns:

Protected:
Leandro Barbosa
Joe Johnson
Casey Jacobsen
Shawn Marion
Zarko Cabarkapa
Amare Stoudamire
Maciej Lampe
Jake Voshkul

Unprotected:
Jahidi White
Howard Eisley

FA:
Antonio McDyess
Keon Clark (suns should resign after draft)

Not Yet Signed:
Milos Vujanic

Eisley is probably not the best veteran pointguard that will go unprotected. Jahidi White isn't very saavy but he is as close to a Shaq-buster as the league has (so some western powerhouse should trade for him).
The Suns are very lucky they can sign Vujanic after the draft.

I bet Sacremento has the most to lose in possibly losing Doug Christie

Also, who out there thinks they have players their team would pay to ditch?

for Tmac_ownz magic, I'll take stevenson over lue and I wouldn't protect Juwan, so that if Bobcats take him(not sure who to protect though), his salary is off our cap and we'd have 6 million more to spend this offseason.

Bernie Bickerstaff has said he won't take on any larger contracts u nless he gets a real difference making player back. I would be extremely surprised if they took Howard unless the Magic really made it worth their while.
