Claxton was very impressive last night against the Lakers in Honolulu HI, connecting on 8-11 FG and scored 20 pts. Speedy is destined to be a starter in this L. Popeye Jones had 9 rbs in 13 mins.

Wow. Great game for Speedy. He really deserved a chance to start in this league after his play in the playoffs. He came to GS to start, then they trade for NVE. I hope for his sake that they trade NVE away and give Speedy the chance he deserves.

No way will Claxton ever start. First of all, it's a preseason game. Second of all, the Warriors need assists not points.

Scoring is always a plus and 20 points in 9 mins is crazy. I just dont think hes ready to be an starter in the league yet. But hes young, so you never know

Am I the only one happy to see Jaminson go? The guy was a ball hog, a selfish player. He was not the go to guy that Van Exel is. I was very happy with the trade. Van Exel can score and get others involved. He is also that go to guy that we have lacked over the past couple years. Speedy is a great addition also. He will be great coming off the bench to spark the club. I'm excited to get this season going!

    *bump*

Claxton now has a career high 28 points at the Memphis game on February 26, 2004. 16 pts of which came from 18 free throw attempts. He's doing what I'd imagine a great point guard should be doing, which is attacking the rim, getting to the foul line, and creating for others. I think he would have more assists if there were plays designed for certain players so he knew when to dish and when to finish. I think the open offense pretty much prevents Speedy from getting the assists if other players are hesistant to shoot or can't finish because they weren't expecting a pass. Just thought I'd post this topic again for those that were doubting he'd have an impact since watching him earlier this season. I even doubted him.

I still like the guy but damn...
