Bimbo Coles was I think the warriors best player during that lock out season. He was shooting lights out for most the that season. Or at least that's how I have it in my memory.</div>

Bimbo was right in the middle of the greatest run of NBA point guard names in league history: Mugsey, Bimbo, Mookie, and Vonteego...awesome.

I always forget Bogues was on the team. That brings the grand total of Warriors players that have been referenced or seen on my TV to two. Larry David checks out Mugsey's genitals on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and I saw an episode of Monk once where the chief said, "What, so all we know is that the killer was tall? Call the Warriors and tell them we've got a warrant out for Antawn Jamison."

Don't forget Gilbert and Baron, those are pretty unique too!

If you've listened to Pearl Jam recently, their album "10" is a reference to Mookie Blaylocks' number. Actually, the band was originally named "Mookie Blaylock", but that was when he was with the Hawks.

Good stuff. I wonder what the connection was?

Why not name the band, Daryl Dawkins? Then they could go on to produce an album called "Chocolate-Thunder-Flying, Glass-Flying, Robinzine-Crying, Babies-Crying, Glass-Still-Flying, Cats-Crying, Rump-Roasting, Bun-Toasting, Thank You-Wham-Bam-I-Am-Jam Session".

    Forget "10".

Well, if you're going to try to appeal to a cult fanbase, why not the cult of Mookie Blaylock, I guess.

If I wanted to start a band named after a basketball player, I'd probably go with The Hakeem Olajuwon Hotsteppers.

I dunno, all that's said about is that the band members were all big fans of his.

I agree with you about Dawkins. Did you ever see the SNL sketch with Andy Samberg where he says that he's tired of people asking him if he's in a band because he has shaggy hair? ...awesome sketch.

Anyway (for those of you who know what I'm talking about), I'm not saying I've got a band, but if I did, our debut album would be titled Planet Lovetron, and Bootsy Collins would play bass...

Ah sorry man, I never saw it. But I'm a big fan of Chocolate Thunder himself. The guy is a character. He has the best names for dunks hands down! My favorite is the "In Your Face Disgrace" dunk.

Planet Lovetron! Ha ha, I forgot about that. That is where he's from since he's from outer space (so he claims). What a character that guy was. Makes me want to learn about some interplanetary funkmanship some day. LOL.[IMG]

I'll probably still be a Warriors fan because I really loved watching them this post-season. They are a real exciting young team. Also, I'm pretty sure there won;t be a KG trade because J-Rich is gone.

I have been a fan since I was 10 years old. We took the Washington Bullets in 4 straight games to win the NBA championship. Barry, Wilkes, Smith, Ray, etc.

The following year we lost to the Suns in the WCF. Interesting bit of triva, the suns went on to lose the the Celtics in the NBA Championship. That was Nelson's last year as a player. We've had a few good years since then but mostly bad times for us Warrior fans. last year was simply fantastic!

How long have you been a Warriors fan? 1974

How did you hear of JBB? Looking for info about Foyle (TG he is gone)
