MAD! this team is gonna be rubbish. When the Raptors and Grizzles came into the league, the situatuation was different. The raptors were able to draft some solid rookies ( stoudermire, camby , mcgrady ) and the grizzles did it with solid vets ( byron scott and blu edwards ) This team is gonna struggle to win one game.

And with a good coach. and maybe a couple of promising rooks. It will be a joy to watch this team develop.
I just think that any expansion team that comes out will be bad ,but you know that it could happen. For a fact though if they get Swift and a good draft pick they will be good in about 3 years. Keep it Treel
according to the toronto sun the raptors may have exposed lamond murray and alvin williams in the expansion draft which would give the raptors a lot of cap flexibility if one or both are picked up. if both are picked up using a little bit of rough math the raptors would have about 17 milion under the cap.
This is a stretch, but..... PG - Mark Jackson. A great passing point with tons of experience. Had a solid showing with Houston. SG - Allan Houston SF - Scott Padgett PF - Stromile Swift C - Ha Seung-Jin. At7-3 and 300 lbs. He is worth the risk.
Here is my bobcat prediction PG Damon Jones MIL (free agent) SG Jerry Stackhouse WAS (North Carolina connection) (22.5mil) SF Loul Deng (4th pick) PF Antonio Walker DAL (14Mil) C Brandon Hunter BOS (shows signs last season)

Not happening, isn't Brandon Hunter being protected, and why would Damon Jones who's pretty old go on a developing team instead of a team that is arleady settled and on a championship hunt?
here is my list acording to the unprotected list. PG Chucky Atkins-shows sign of doing great in the playoffs. SG Jerry Stackhouse-somebody has to be the leader. SF Qyntel Woods-has plenty of potiental but risky becasuse of drugs PF Brandon Hunter-big guy with potiental C Scot Pollard-huge role players, do lots of dirty works. J.R. Bremer-good shoter Dahntay Jones-lost in Memphis, good to go back to duke areas Bo Outlaw-another great role players Tamar Slay-some articles are the bobcats are interested in him Gerald Wallace-crazy big dunker. Maurice Taylor-good scorer off the bench Vitaly Potapenko-big guy Vladimir Stepania-a 7 footer.
You can only draft one player from each team therefore: They can't get Qyntel Woods and Stephania They can't get Outlaw and Jones They can't get Brandon Hunter and Chucky Atkins Only one of those guys. PG Chucky Atkins-shows sign of doing great in the playoffs. (4,200,200) SG Jerry Stackhouse-somebody has to be the leader. (7,000,000) SF Qyntel Woods-has plenty of potiental but risky becasuse of drugs (1,172,160) PF Brandon Hunter-big guy with potiental (620,046) C Scot Pollard-huge role players, do lots of dirty works. (5,792,250) J.R. Bremer-good shoter (about 180,100) Dahntay Jones-lost in Memphis, good to go back to duke areas (1,143,360) Bo Outlaw-another great role players (5,355,000) Tamar Slay-some articles are the bobcats are interested in him (I think they'll just make him unrestricted) Gerald Wallace-crazy big dunker. (1,377,045) Maurice Taylor-good scorer off the bench (8,450,000) Vitaly Potapenko-big guy (6,191,250) Vladimir Stepania-a 7 footer.(not sure, about 900,000) Total: 42,381,311, and that doesn't include the salary of their draft picks which will equal about 3.7 million.
With the unprotected list leaking, and taking the draft into consideration: PG Ben Gordon (2.5 Million) SG Jerry Stackhouse (7 Million) SF Gerald Wallace (.765 Million) PF Brian Skinner (1.6 Million) C Peja Drobnjak (2.8 Million) PG JR Bremer (.2 Million) PG Anthony Johnson (.9 Million) SG Adrian Griffin (.8 Million) SG Tamar Slay (.5 Million) SF Ronald Dupree (.3 Million) SF Ira Newble (2.7 Million) PF Brandon Hunter (.6 Million) C Vladimir Stepania (1 Million) C Loren Woods (.6 Million) Thats a cap of 22.265 Million.. leaves them some space to spend money on FAs. *Note, salaries for players whos contract expire at the end of this year are from last year, not this upcoming season.
Isn't Ronald Dupree a restricted FA, so drafting him would only make him unrestricted, and not on their roster, same with Loren Woods (who's garbage)
c-brian grant pf-marcus fizer sf-alexsandar pavlovic sg-jerry stackhouse pg-shaun livingston or c-antonio davis pf-antoine walker sf-qyntel woods sg-shaun livingston pg-juan dixon
Eww Antonio Davis lol, not a real center and making double digit millions, the Bobcats have to take at least 14 players, if they took AD and Walker they'd have about 3 million dollars left for their whole roster, and their draft pick is going to make 2.9 million, impposible. (They don't have to keep all 14, but when they draft their cap can't go over 30 million, it should'nt even be in the range) Brian Grant + Stackhouse = 20 million, then 12 more players for 10 million, that's hard.
Chad Ford's take. (ESPN Insider) PG Jamal Crawford; Troy Bell SG Gerald Wallace; Qyntel Woods SF Aleksandar Pavlovic; Michael Curry PF Stromile Swift; Brian Cardinal; Brandon Hunter C Emeka Okafor; Zaza Pachulia; Jamal Sampson About Okafor... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">...The player Bickerstaff really wants, though, is Emeka Okafor, and he's been trying to work out a deal with Orlando to get the No. 1 pick. Would a combination of the No. 4 pick and one or two players they just drafted (expansion) fill the bill for Orlando? Or, if the Bobcats strike a deal with the Wizards, would a combo of the No. 4 and No. 5 make the Magic bite? Bickerstaff believes Okafor could give the Bobcats an immediate presence in the paint that they're not going to find in the expansion draft. Charlotte also has a second-round pick it likely will use on a big man.</div> About free agents... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If I were Bickerstaff, I'd conserve cash and offer nice deals just above the mid-level exception to restricted free agents Swift and Crawford. Both are young, immensely talented and really need a change of scenery. If you offered both around a starting salary around $5.5 million to $6 million a year, chances are Memphis and Chicago wouldn't match. I'd use the other $6 million or $7 million on a few well-placed veterans who know how to win and play hard. Players such as Brian Cardinal, Bob Sura, Bruce Bowen, and Michael Curry would all be good fits on an expansion team.</div> With this lineup, and considering the division the Bobcats are in, they have a pretty good chance of winning maybe 30 games. Of course, this is only speculation and everything won't work out this perfectly. Who knows what will happen...

He plays an overall great game. However, although let's say you didn't get Ben Gordon, how about getting Juan Dixon as a backup?
Skinner will most likely opt out of his contract before the expansion draft which will make him ineligible. Juan Dixon sounds like a great choice but I think the Wizards are trying to entice the Bobcats to take either Laettner or Stackhouse. There is no way the Bobcats will touch Stackhouse, however, Laettner has 1 year and $6 million left on his contract. The Wizards would love to get Laettner off their hands so they can clean up cap space and go after a free agent this summer. No one in this draft really appeals to the Wizards so Washington could offer cash and their #5 pick to Charlotte to entice the Bobcats to take Laettner off their hands. The Wizards could then use their free agency money on a player who can help them. This sounds better than Charlotte taking Juan Dixon. If this is the true scenario, under the rules of the expansion draft, the Bobcats would most likely immediately waive Laettner and clear him completely off their cap. Now, my take on the Bobcat's roster for next season. PG Juan Dixon; Troy Bell SG Josh Childress; Qyntel Woods SF Aleksandar Pavlovic; Gerald Wallace PF Stromile Swift; Brian Cardinal; Brandon Hunter C Etan Thomas; Zaza Pachulia; Jamal Sampson This is a likely roster if the Bobcats cannot convince Orlando... It seems Bickerstaff likes Childress moreso than Ben Gordon or Shaun Livingston. Andre Iguodala is also a strong candidate but I believe Childress is the Bobcat's No. 1 candidate. Edit: Oh yes, I forgot... If the Laettner scenario is true... PG Chucky Atkins; Troy Bell SG Josh Childress; Qyntel Woods SF Aleksandar Pavlovic; Gerald Wallace; Michael Curry PF Dwight Howard; Brian Cardinal C Stromile Swift; Zaza Pachulia; Jamal Sampson Or... PG Ben Gordon; Troy Bell SG Josh Childress; Qyntel Woods SF Aleksandar Pavlovic; Gerald Wallace PF Stromile Swift; Brian Cardinal; Brandon Hunter C Etan Thomas; Zaza Pachulia; Jamal Sampson
Zaza or Stevenson is likely. 1 of them everyone should have on their lineup, both are good candidates of getting picked. Magic are dumb for not protecting them.
