well for me personally, the asg is bigger... i also enjoy all star game performances more than liek super bowl halftimes... everything is fun about allstar weekend too, dunks, 3point contests, etc. i even found the read to acheive thing entertaining... with hilary duff ...yup i dont find football or the super bowl exciting at all.
The seating price is going to be higher due to the seating capacity of the Staples Center vs. a football venue. Demand drives up cost. Economics 101. The real gauge is viewer TV ratings & advertising costs. How much do you a commercial run during the All Star game is? Not $1.4 million (or was it only $1.2 million)! There are more Super Bowl parties than Christmas parties every year. The NBA has a long way to go in comparing those events.

one more thing why more people watch the nfl and the superbowl than the nba and the asg - the nba is on CABLE. lots of homes in the US don't have cable and can't receive satellite signals.

The asg will never be like the super bowl, you're right cubanballer not everybody has cable or signal (I don't). And internationally talking people prefer the SB. In my point of view asg is better .

i dont even remember seeing her like that. she looked pretty covered to me, i guess i'll watch what i recorded, but i seriously dont even remember seeing it like that.... and sorry to change the subjct, but did you see Christina Aguilera singing the anthem? What happened to her? She looks so messed up now and kinda dirty.
Man, those are expensive seats but I believe that the Super Bowl is more popular than the All-Star Game even though the differences in prices, one reason is that more people can go to the Super Bowl because THEY CAN AFFORD IT, not like when you are in the all-star game. You would never pay 10 to 12 thousand dollars just to watch a game for two hours!!
You people honestly believe that the ASG is bigger than the superbowl? I don't know if this has already been said, but why do you think businesses pay millions of dollars for commercial time during the superbowl? New commercials are even released, and people can watch it every year expecting this. If the ASG had as many people watching as the superbowl does, we would see commercials being introduced there too.
