<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- In the end, nothing happened -- which is often the way it goes in mid-February -- and Knicks president Isiah Thomas was fine with that. For someone who had engineered two major deals in his first two months on the job, trade deadlines are nothing but dates on a calendar, and Thomas had no regrets yesterday.

Of course, if his team has to run into Rasheed Wallace and the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the playoffs this spring, he might think otherwise.

"I'm not disappointed at all," Thomas said after the Atlanta Hawks sent Wallace to the Pistons. "We started this process a couple of months ago. I didn't feel it was necessary to wait for the trade deadline to do something. I felt we got our work done early (and) we got ourselves better quickly.

"Any time you can add talent to your team like Rasheed, that's a huge bonus. But, I'm very, very happy with where we are today."</div>

    More here.

That's like 3 teams in 1 year to say the least.

Tonight when he plays for the Pistons, he will be the first player in NBA history to actually play for 3 different teams in 3 straight games. There have been other players that were traded and then traded again a few days later, but Sheed is the first to actually play for 3 teams in 3 straight games, lol.

But regarding Sheed and the Knicks, I really think he will stay with the Pistons. I already know that he has been good friends with Big Ben for a long time and that may be enough to make him want to stay in Detroit.

Well I heard he does want to play with New York who knows..unless the pistons win the ECC with him , then he will probably think about staying with the Pistons depending on $$$.

Regarding money, he did say that he would do anything it takes to play for the Knicks, even if it means taking a huge pay cut and making millions less.

Either team really suits Wallace, the whole bad boy thing and all. I'd like him to stay in Detroit though, if Zeke can get him, that'd be really good for the Knicks. The Pistons need some more help on offense, the great defense Sheed has to offer adds even more value to the deal. I wouldn't mind which way he went, but I'd prefer him to help the Pistons, both are already ECFC anyway.

My prediction is that Rasheed will stay in Detroit. They can afford to pay him the $15 million + salary and I don't believe he will settle for the Knicks mid-level salary
eggs-zemption of 5 mil. Thats alot of crunchy cheese-dootles. Anyway, Ninety-nine percent of the time, the player takes the money esp when its that much of a difference. It may just be the best thing fo dah Knicks....

If Detroit tries to resign him I don't think he deserves any more than $7-10 million/year unless he proves that he can perform to the potential that he never truly manifested in Portland.

There are a tone of positive and engative aspects that would take place if sheed came to new york one new york along with la are possible the largest news media locations in the national basketball association along with any other sport .

Sheed's comments would be advertised double the amount they were in portland so if he were to go around making harsh comments about david stern and the leagues front office he would be immediatly critizised

Now there is the positive aspect if sheed performs well and reforms his attitude he can become one of the premeir player's at his position like he was many years ago before the comments and attitude got in the way. And for the knicks there would be major minute conflicts who would start thomas or wallace? how would you split minutes? how would he get along with managment?

Right now he has to hold his attitude in check because its a contract year but who nows he could possible really help the knicks reach the finals if he came here or he could lead to there downfall it would be a huge gamble but with isiah's ability to move players it is one i think they could take and come away with a very good result

Signing Sheed shouldn't even be considered a risk after taking on someone like Vin Baker. Sheed has really established himself with the Pistons and fits into their team very well, so even though he wanted to play for the Knicks, I believe he will want to re-sign with a longterm deal with the Pistons.

Signing Sheed would be great. You really haven't heard anything bad about him in Detroit. He would only be an athletic big man too add to the team. He is playing center in the East, and would just make the team better. I really don't see him being a problem on the court at all.

I think Sheed to the Knicks is another longshot trade proposal cooked up by the NY media. They love speculating how so and so will impact their team. Isn't Kobe supposed to sign with the Knicks too? Hahaha.

Not only would Sheed be taking a huge pay cut, but he'd be at best the 3rd option on a Knicks team that is loaded at the 3, 4 and 5 spots, with Kurt and Tim Thomas, Mike Sweetney, Dikembe Mutombo, Shandon Anderson, Nazr Mohammed and Vin Baker. Add Sheed and that's 8 players for 3 positions, and minutes are gonna start getting tight.

Look at when this thread was started. Rasheed has said nothing about signing with the Knicks since he came to Detroit, and he really likes his new team. Also, the Pistons own his Larry Bird rights, so they can exceed cap space to sign him. I wouldn't bet on Wallace playing for the Knicks next year.

What position would the knicks play him at they already got so much talent on there team why do they need Sheed when they can develop DerMarr Johnson, Mike Sweetney and they already got vets like Vin Baker and Dikembe Mutumbo at his position(s) and you surely cannot play Sheed at gaurd.
