First off, let me say that I was under the weather and did not go to the U of Utah game last night.

They laid 63 on UNLV; 42 in the 1st half and did not score in the 4th qtr.

I know BF1 will get all up in a huff about a mid major etc... Let me say that I know it probably won't happen and Utah will end 11-0 playing Louisville (10-1) in the Liberty Bowl. This could be the best bowl game outside the BCS C'ship.

I'm glad the Utes are doing so well especially when you realize that Dolphins suck! Additionally, the local media is still pro BYU and all the success of Utah irritates all the hardcore BYU fans.

The Utes will not have a let down like BYU did 3 yrs ago. The cougars & their fans "expected" to go to the Fiesta Bowl. Fans would throw tortilla shells during games every chance they got to "impress" the selection committee.

Iagree w/ an article I read where it said Utah would win the Big 12 north and Big east. In fact, they would be highly competitive in the SEC west.

I have more respect for mid majors after louisville scared miami, but still not a lot of respect. BTW it looks like with them in top 8 in BCS they are locked into a BCS bowl if they run table

I believe top 6 is guaranteed. Utah's chances improve w/ each win & each loss by Notre Dame.

Should the Irish win 9 then the Utes would be screwed. Though losing to BC whose QB is from the Salt Lake Valley all but guaranteed that.

Actually 2 losses by USC, OK, AUB, Miami would help as well as a second loss for FSU, Tenn, etc, so they could move up in polls. However if OK loses a close Big 12 game they wont fall below Utah. I would not worry about notre dame, have to be in top 12 to make it to BCS bowl game.
