And with the support he has this season, it might be possible.

I still believe the Spurs are the team to beat. When Timmy is at full strength, it's damn hard to stop him.

The Lakers will also create problems for teams in the postseason. They have the leadership and experience. I wouldn't mind them winning a title. It would be nice to see GP and Malone finally earn a ring.

Garnett has been breaking records left and right this season. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the MVP this season.

I'm leaning T-Wolves first, Lakers second in the race for who I want to get a ring. I only want the Lakers to get it because of Malone and Payton. Looking at what KG's done this year, the team should feel obligated to get him that ring.

If Karl and the Glove had to bail on their loyal fans in the cities where people practically worshiped them to get a ring, they don't deserve it.

They don't want to be another Charles or Dominique. Especially Karl, who's daughter won a ring before him. OUCH! They don't feel that they will have acquired the right kind of clout without the hardware. But the thing that bothers me about Malone is the fact that he SAID that he's not going to ride on someone's coat-tails and win the ring "on his own" in a sense. But I would consider Shaq an awfully big back to lean on. Not to say that he doesn't put in work, but I guess starting over wasn't kosher with him. You saw the team he would've had in Utah. The West is getting stronger and they wouldn't have been able to make it. And that's why they play, to win.
