1.Detroit (If they keep Sheed) 2.La Laker (If Bryant stays and If they get Nowitzki and Nash) 3.Dallas (If they get Shaq and keep scorers like Finley,Stackhouse and Walker) 4.San Antonio (If they keep Ginobili and Bowen) 5.Sacremento (If they keep thier core together and IF Webber stays healthy Trying to predict the top 5 teams is fun and all but noone can really get a real good indication of what teams will be next year as there are still many changes to be made. Even after the trades, signing and injuries you are just comparing what teams look like on paper. As we all know it's not what they look like on paper it's what they look like on the court.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Phreeze:</div><div class="quote_post">Ever heard of the San Antonio Spurs? Don't count them out of the top 5 as long as they have Tim Duncan.</div> Your right I totally forgot about the Spurs. 1. Dallas 2. Detroit 3. Spurs 4. Minn 5. Indy 6. Sacramento 7. Phoenix ( if they get Kobe ) 8. NJ 9. Denver 10. Memphis I still don't see the Blazers even in the top 10, let alone top 5, hahahaha !
I don't know why he'd want Miles, he can't play no defense and he has no post up moves and outside shot. About the only thing he can do is run the fast break, and if you think about it 6'10 no postup moves and no outside shot - what is the point to even have him in the game?
actaully miles will proably sign with denver. denver wants him. richaedson is also wanted by denver and will proabbly sign with them and miles will want to play with rich since they were like best friends on the clippers

actually they wouldnt really dump them on the bench they mite let richardson start over lenard because hes quicker and he can score and they would have a deeper bench anyawy
I'll be dissapointed if Miles goes to DEN, because he was really building something for himself in Portland.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thedude9990:</div><div class="quote_post">actually they wouldnt really dump them on the bench they mite let richardson start over lenard because hes quicker and he can score and they would have a deeper bench anyawy</div> That means Miles would be on the bench and then what the **** are you going to do with Rodney White?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DMiles4MVP:</div><div class="quote_post">yes, Top 5 team in the West next year, Laker are done after this year so we're gonna take that spot. D-Miles gonna have a breakout year and with Zach moving up the ladder of the best PF's in the league, who knows how good the team will be if they can get a star 2 guard in the offseason, or at least an upgrade over Derek Anderson(plays no defense and is way too inconsistent shooting, shot 37 this year? ouch)</div> No way... 1. Detroit 2. San Antonio 3. Indiana 4. Minnesota 5. Houston AT LEAST...and I still think Memphis, Sacramento, Dallas, New Jersey, New York and the Lakers will all be better than Portland...Portland is a top 15 team in all likelihood, but by no means are they a Top 5 team...

"he can't play no defense" that is just BS man, he plays defense, he has a good hand eye corrnation, he can steal, he can block, he can rebound, DEFINE defense for me. Plus he is so long, so atheltic that he can guard guys like Kobe, he can defend Kobe better than Taysuan Prience. "he has no post up moves" hey if you watch a blazers game, you will know that he is playing SF postition, i remember him posting up Melo and just turn around and dunk OVER melo. Or when Damon give Darius an allylop and dunks it. Throw it down. Those are post moves, they are HIGHLY accurate shots. "he has no outside shots. WOW...if you watch some blazers game, you will notice that he actually working on improving his outside shots. Go back to the Denver/Porland game, he made a THREE, to give the blazer a lead. Hey are you a blazer fan, if you are not, stop making "commons" on things you dont know.

Darius Miles comes through when you need him I saw that Denver/Portland game he was making Melo look like a school girl but we know that Miles needs to beef up his consistency, he can't hit 3's consistently but he can sure hit em. But by no means will the Blazers be a top 5 team next year they will make it to playoffs and probably out of the first round but not a top 5 team. Here's who is better: 1)Minnesota 2)Sacremento 3)San Antonio 4)Indiana 5)Houston(TMAC & YAO) 6)New Jersey(if Kidd, KMart and RJ stay together) But still I hope the Blazers end up a top 5 team it's not too far out of there reach they have that Korean kid Ha-Sueng Jin he can do a little if not a lot and Bassy will be a contributor + Randolph is an Allstar next year hands down and Darius is on his way up and may end up an all star next year.

He can't hit jack from downtown. I am not sure he could hit a broad side of a barn from there. He shot 17.5% from beyond the arc. How is that "...but he can sure hit em?"

And oh, Tayshaun Prince is a better defender than Miles. If the Blazers were playing LA, Mo Cheeks would put Derek Anderson on him, and that doesn't say much about Miles.

OMFG ITS GONNA BE D_MILES BREAK OUT YEr OMFG TEH 1337 no........ its not and Im not sure if it ever will D-Miles sux at defense. I have no idea why these blazer fans prefer D-Miles to Zach Rudolph is it cuz hes butt ugly? O yeah and instead of D-Miles break out year this past year was Zachs break out year. Now who was expecting that? I know i wasnt. The Blazers will not be a top 5 team in the west or the entire thing. West 1.Spurs 2.T-Wolves 3.Rockets 4.Sacremento 5.Memphis 6. Lakers 7.Jazz 8.Nuggets 9. Clippers( i think theyll improve a lot) 10. Dallas( for sme reason i think theyll go down hill a lot) 11. Suns 12. Trail blazers I expect them to be 12th in the west honestly.
