<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A lot of New York Knicks fans were very upset when Latrell Sprewell was traded to the Wolves. Sprewell still has his home in the New York. He loves New York and can be a free agent at the end of this year. It's Sprewell's choice whether he exercises an option to play one more year with the Wolves at $14.6 million, a salary the Knicks or any other team might not want to pay. </div> Full Story He's playing great in Minny, it would be a shame to see him leave KG and Cassell. If he were to leave, would the Knick fans still want him back?
I'd like to see Spree back in New York and trade Tim Thomas for a first round draft pick or a center.
I would love to see Spree back. His last season here he really fell off, and everyone thought his career was going downhill. With this season he has had, he has upped his "stock". I would love to see him back in orange and blue, but I doubt it will happen. How many go from a real championship contender, to a mediocre team? The Knicks fans would definately want him back. He brought heart to the team, like Marbury, and unlike Allan Houston.
I think he would think about returning to NY, but I dont see him leaving Minny. They are a winning team, and in a couple of years they will win a championship.
Exactly. He is getting old, and Minnesota is a seroius championship contender.Hell, they could win one this season. I do not think Latrell would leave, but I think every Knick fan would welcome him with open arms.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe 8 Ball:</div><div class="quote_post">I think he would think about returning to NY, but I dont see him leaving Minny. Imo the Wolves have 2 years(this year & next) to win a championship with this current core group. After next year, Sprewell, Madsen, Ej will all be Unrestricted Free Agents and Cassell would be 36 a month into the 2005-2006 season(and in his final year of his contract). So I think after next season Minny will look to surround KG with a younger core group. So I think Spree will use his player option to stay in Minnny for next year, And take a stab at his last legitimate shot to win a championship. He may return when he becomes a unrestricted FA, but how good will he be then, His game has been on a serious decline the last few seasons. But hopefully Minny gets that chip this season
Im happy for Spree where he is, he's always been one of my favorite players and I'd like to see him win a championship.. but i dont think that's possible with him back in New York, he's better off with Minny KG and Sammy.
Spree made that choice himself ( coming to minnesota ) If he wants to be a Knick next season, thats his pick, and if the fans don't love him, they are all retardet, for real..... why hate a player, just because he leaves, it's his life.

He was traded there as part of the Keith Van Horn deal.
This rumor has been dying and I think that it is finally dead. Sprewell is not going to play in any association with Dolan EVER AGAIN. Bank on it, fellas.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kareem.02:</div><div class="quote_post">If he didn't wanted, he wouldn't go, GET IT!</div> What? He didn't have a choice, players don't decide where they get traded to nor can they stop a trade from happening. Sprewell wanted to retire as a Knick. He was angry when he heard he was traded but in the end It has worked out for the best. Spree will end his career in Minny.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kareem.02:</div><div class="quote_post">How Do you know?</div> The NBA is not too hard to fiqure out trading players is down to the GM's and the owners, players aren't told about If they are getting traded until It actually happens. Infact even the other players on the team are normally never told about trade talks. They are there to play the game, nothing else. How long have been you been following the NBA exactly?
He shouldn't have been traded, it was good for Minnesota that's for sure, we were very lucky. Sure your team made the Playoffs but Marbury and a questionable Houston are not enough, he would've made them a very good offensive team. It's a good thing you're getting 'Sheed, he'll help a lot, now all you need is an awesome defensive stopping machine or big man for a center. Brand and K-Mart would be too expensive to get unless you were to trade yet again, this team seems to be doing too much of that.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post"> It's a good thing you're getting 'Sheed, he'll help a lot</div> What makes you think that? Sheed will stay in Detroit, why go to a Knicks team that aren't even a 500 team? there are no signs that Wallace will sign in NY for such a low amount of money.

Also if they got a decent center, their own big three, Marbury, 'Sheed and say if they were able to net themselves Kobe or McGrady would provide some serious offensive threat.
Spree+dolan=not in 1 million years i believe spree will be a knick.........once dolan sells the team to me for $50.00

Both of them stated the teams they would like to play for, and I don't the Knicks were big favorites for them.
