"Over these next couple of days, it is Detroit's shining moment," Thomas told The Post. "And I will respect their shining moment and let them have their peace before I try to cause holy hell for them." Additionally, Thomas said he will make runs at Bryant and Wallace, but cautioned the free-agent period may only serve as a way for the Knicks to plug holes and not add a blockbuster talent. "A guy like Kobe would be great, but you're not always looking for that," Thomas said. "I think you're also looking at the small pieces to add to the team to make it better." </div> Full Story

I looked at the players that are not protected by the knicks for the expansion draft and it is like they trying to get rid of their shooting guards. So there might be some truth to what isiah is saying about wanting Kobe Bryant

Houston is a great guard, but has way to huge a contract without him on the team they could have some more money to atttract free agents. And penny has a contract every team always seems to want to get rid of in phonex it was there main priority. In New York even after a great season with them they still want to get that contract off there cap so thats basically what there tring to do imo. I think they may be able to aquire wallace, but kobe will most likely take the 141 million and take his team since the lakers are planning on doing w/e it takes to keep kobe meaningget rid of shaq and phil. Plus los angeles has basically the same media market as new york so there is no reason for him to leave.
