No he isn't the #1 reason they did so well, the whole Eagles team is pretty solid as a unit. McNabb has a problem with choking in the big games though. He just seems to lose it when the pressure is on. It's not entirely his fault but if the QB can't get his shit together then its a little hard for the offense to put up any points on the board and pull out the W, especially in the SB against the best of the best.
In 2002, 2003, and 2004. He faced great defenses, the Bucs had the best defense in 2002. In 2003 he had a broken rib. In 2004 he had Bellichek created wickedly awesome schemes to stop him the the Super Bowl. Maybe if he had some good recievers he might do better
Those same excuses have been overused. The Eagles didn't lose by much to the Patriots and they were in that game but McNabb did pull his famous choke. Good WR's or not, he still chokes in the big games. I mean come on he had TO and he still pulled the choke, how much better does the WR need to be for him to finish what he started. Nothing against McNabb, he's a great QB without a doubt but he is a choke artist.
The Eagles are overated because of TO. Look at these receiving stats Todd Pinkston: 36 receptions, 646 yards, 1 TD Freddie Mitchell: 22 receptions, 377 yards, 2 TDs Greg Lewis: 17 receptions, 183 yards, 0 TDs hes the only good receiver on the team
that wont make them over rated! they were good before TO... what is thuis your first season as a football fan. plus, greg lewis is also very good, he is a deep threat.
Without TO, McNabb is gonna have such a hard time next year. He had it so easy last year, he just kinda threw it up and TO would bring it down
most of the eagles fans think the eagles will be perfect next year, or they will throw batteries at the players
