The most historical dunk that's gonna be remembered forever is that between the leg he did in the All-Stars dunk contest. Simply for that classic signature hand gesture he did after the dunk... which was even better.

    *It's over*

Persoanlly though, I fell on the floor when I saw the one where he sliced thru the D, jumped in the air between two other defenders wit no where to go, threw the ball off the backboard, got back on the ground, jumped BACK UP, and dunked it... that was drop dead unbelievable... man... anythang was possible back then for Vince.. sky was the limit. yeah yeah. that one rocked. I remember watching that game and just screaming when I saw it.

What's interesting is that I think Vince had some of his best dunks in the 2002 season. People sometimes write that season off as a wasteful and horrible year for Vince. Remember the Dallas Windmill and Reverse 1 handed over Dirk? My favorite was the one when he jumped and blew by Ben Wallace with one hand and slammed it.

    I miss those days .....

I liked the dunked he did on Ben Wallace to. He jumped from so far inside the free throw key, and had Ben Wallace in the air ready to swat it, but then he moved his arm around him and slammed it.

Another nice dunk was in his 2nd year. The raps were in Dallas, they were on a fast break T-Mac bounce passes to Carter from the left baseline, and Carter does a 360 dunk in transistion. It was better because he started off with 2 hands and ended up slamming it with 2.

The dunk he did off the backboard was just nasty. That is #1 for me, besides the olympic dunk, which was just a killer one. [IMG]

Which off the backboard dunk? I don't recall any of those except ones from his annual Charity games. Last year he did this amazing windmill off the backboard from Shammod Williams. It wasn't your typical windmill, it was a full windmill.

the dunk he did against milwakee where he threw it off the glass with 2 hands and jumped up and caught it again before all the other defenders could even react.....that was amazing

my favourite vince carter dunk of all time had to be that 360 against dallas.....like i had never seen such a perfect 360 before....in transition, none the less,i htink there was a defender beside him but it diodnt matter cuz once he caught that ball, he started off with two hands, did the 360 with one hand and finished it with 2 hands...amazing....if u look closely, u can see even the dallas bench react to that one...

also that alleyoop in LA where dee brown threw it, and VC literally HUNG in midairt and posed before catching and throwin it down...

and finally the other one againt the Lakers where he was runnnin on the fast break, did a nasty crossover and john celestand went flying the wrong way and he just cocked it bac k and finished

wow.....brings tears to my eyes [IMG]

When Mark Jackson was here, VC had so many easy and nice dunks. He had this sick one handed power alley oop versus the Clippers.

the windmill alleyoop against the sixers i think, their was also the windmill alleyoop he did in the olympics, that was nice, and the alleyoop against the clippers that banks3 mentioned.

The olympics in 2000 was just a non stop slam dunk show ending with the greatest dunk of all time

the one handed power slam on the clips was NOT an all star game dunk lol nor was it thrown by mark jackson....it was dee brown

and the Corliss Williamson alleyoop was frickin amazing......preseason game in the 2001-2002 season, it was a 2 on 1, corliss lobbed it high with a no look and vince caught it at the TOP, and windmilled it fully in the air before slamming it down.... [IMG]

VC has had some pretty crazy dunks throughout his career. #1 had to be when he won his first and only dunk contest(hope he goes into another one)
#1-a was easily the one in the olympics. That was just ridiculous. But i remember one dunk that VC had just this past year in a game at the acc against utah when he posterized AK47 wit a vicious one handed left handed dunk. His first left handed dunk(he said) and it was crazy! I dont know if we'll ever see so many great dunks in one year from him again but we certainly have seen flashes of it in the last couple of years and all the haterz juss keep quiet for a little while when everybody stops talking about his crazy dunk.

^ I didn't think the dunk looked that great at all. The only good part about it was that it was with the left.

His rookie season 360 one handed dunk was pretty sick versus the cavs at the ACC...and then he did this dance at the end of it, tapping the floor and all that.
