Obviously he isn't a center, I think he and the entire Suns organization can agree to that. But who is a legit center that is still out there and within the Suns price range? Camby, and Foyle have resigned with their teams, Shaq is heading to Miami and Dampier looks to be their only available player.
i don't see why they can't go with voshkul, he is a workhorse and hes not a bad defensive player, theyve already got enough scoring in the rest of their lineup i think voshkul at C would be just fine would it not.
Voskuhl can't block shots, and isn't that good on the boards, but he doesn't need to be that good on the boards with Marion and Amare there, but it would be nice to have someone like Keon Clark or something. I'd really like a shot blocker at center for us, it would help our whole new defensive style we might be doing.
How about Diop for Lampe? As a Cavs fan, I'd hate to lose him. But we have Z and Battie and need a 4.
Start the tractor First, Robert "Tractor" Traylor was sitting courtside with his beau watching the Suns game Friday. Then, he had Suns owner Robert Sarver on a wing. Later, he had President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo and two other Suns investors next to him. It was not quite the blue-chip recruiting treatment Steve Nash got, but the message was sent that Phoenix's search for a big man includes Traylor, an unrestricted free agent. "It's a mutual interest," Traylor said. "They've got some time (playing minutes) that I want. Hopefully, I bring some things to the table they like. It's a great opportunity with a young team that's going to be a good team." Traylor would add bulk to the roster at 6-8 and 284 pounds. Last season, the six-year pro averaged 5.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 13.3 minutes with New Orleans. He may sign for his veteran minimum level of $870,046. http://www.nba.com/suns/news/azcentral_040717.html he's a fat backup center but I guess he's better than nothing... he can certainly do his share of the inside banging. so Voskuhl/Traylor/Lampe that should be enough for 48 minutes, though I am a little skepticle.
Need a Center? Go after Oliver Miller. Don't laugh, I'm serious. PHX doesn't need a world stopper at Center, just someone who can play a little defense and the Big O's got very good passing skills, which only makes the guys around him more dangerous. If they have interest in Tractor, then Big O shouldn't be that far of a reach. He looks like he's beaten his weight problems and let's face it, Kevin Mchale is not fool, so the fact that he saw something in Oliver should count for something.
Joel Przybilla??? This guy is 7-1 and 255 he is very young as well. We should sign him to the veteran minimum. He could start and give us good minutes. He did not score at all last year like 3 points per game or something but we do not need any more scoring. He averages almost 7 boards as well as 1.5 bpg which is what we do need. He would be a nice pickup, he has played with an awful team. I think if you paired him with Amare and Marion in the backcourt it would give us the best backcourt available. Why would we even look at Tractor Traylor he is lazy, fat, and undersized for the center position, Ostertag is lazy, and bad for team chemistry, Vlade is old, slow, and at this point probably unsignable. Sign Joel Przybilla, why trade one of our core players for a center, not only would it would be a major gamble, at this point you can't give up any person in an improving nucleus. Sign a young guy who has great size, a guy who rebounds and blocks shots, and can grow with the youth on the team. This looks like a good sign to me.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">yea the suns should just bring back all there former players lmao</div> I realize you were joking, but can someone tell me if the reason that Big O "departed" from PHX was because of his weight problem or was that a trade?
