I have a '79 El Camino that I fixed up. Its purty. I'm looking for a 2000 or 2001 Firebird at the moment. I need a reliable car to take to school next year.
^ One word: classic. I actually drive a much-too-nice car considering that I'm just a student, and only worked full-time for about 2 years. I drive a 2001 Mercedes C240, it was on the lot in the summer of 2002 and about 15% off the sticker price. (But a lot of my student loans go to paying it, now. Boo!)
I had an 01 mustang GT that I loved, but had to sell. Now I have an older 5.0 mustang that has been taken apart for the last 2 months. So now I drive my wife's 98 Mountaineer (explorer).
Dude, just get an accord. You are not going to get a V8, so what is the point in getting a firebird? Just get something reliable and worry about getting something cool when you graduate.
I think all the newer Pontiacs sports cars are so overrated now. It's all about the classic muscle cars from the 60's/70's. GTO's, it's sister the Le Mons GT, and the old Firebirds rocked. The few who have driven those can appreciate the torque you get from those machines especially the first two I mentioned above. But I'll settle for short stroke, high rpm, lighter weight type cars with less torque but more acceleration. I like the S2000 or the Toyota MR2 Spyders. Kinda small, but they are fun cars and because of that I won't mind driving them. The new BMW Z series are always fun and the new Nissan Z is fun to drive (kinda like a Porsche Boxster a little bit).

My parents are doing good financially right now and they are going to buy me a newer car now that I got my scholarship for college. I'm going to a private school and will save them over 50,000 dollars in my two years there. Custodianrules- I have a '79 El Camino SS with a rebuilt 350. My dad has a '67 chevelle. Its sweet. I find some pics to post.

I drive an Isuzu Rodeo back and forth through the damn LA traffic, only because gas is outrageous in Cali. My other car is an '04 Explorer. I'm waiting for the SVT limited edition Lightning to come out, or the new Mustang when they make the SVT Cobra version. Like most of you on here, I'm into the muscle cars as well. Luxury cars are nice, but I think they are complete waste of money and I enjoy the outdoors, too much.

Adam Sandler was all like "IROCZ Stands for Idiot Retards Out CruiZing" Classic Camaros are nice though .
